Im an arborist. Sometimes tree roots grow above ground because they were over mulched in the past. It use to be a common practice until we figured out that it is harmful to the tree. Hope that helps in evaluating land
Wow Merrill I celebrate your good news with you, you deserve it :-) Great machines, they're lucky to have you onboard! Hope you enjoyed your time in Toulouse, was there a couple of years ago ( known for AirBus construction) stayed in a little village near there, and now my brother stays not to far from there, didn't know about the metal detector history of the area! I'm sure you'll be blown away by it all :-) Take care bon voyage and enjoy! Bon chance
Congrats Merrill! You started off our curiosity in RU-vidr Detecting and so many of your videos helped us getting started in our journey. 4k followers in 3.5 months for us! 🎉 XP couldnt have picked a better guy as a new rep, will gladly tune in and learn more about the Deus II through any version of your channel!
Can I have your manticore 😅 used a deus for the first time today, maybe you can get them to get more creative on the tones. I’m thinking fart noise for iron and shakira for high tones
I love my XP Deus II, would also love to master this detector. I have found some of my best finds with it. Can’t wait for you to share your new knowledge .
Thank you Dominick! I have no plan to stop uploading to MetalDetectingNYC, I am just going to be creating videos on the XP channel as well and representing XP at events.
Career advancement has been unlocked...KABOOM! So many people glad for you speaks volumes to how you are seen in the eyes of others; a grifted, humble and caring individaul. Corporate headaches not withstanding, best wishes on your new journey.
Oh my goodness! I am absolutely honored! Thank you! 😊 Plus I’m showing this comment to Adele who continues to call me a nincompoop! 🤣 Thank you so much!
congrats Merrill - I have been a Whites PI beach/water hunter since the 80's and. I have watched you and others using the XP and thought of picking one up, but I still have a used once or twice Surf Master DF and a Nox 800 w three coils not being used - A TDI BH is my main machine (I have two 16.8V Batts I built for it) that I am using when I can get to the beach - I have been sending all new hunters I run into to your site for the best hunting info out there and will continue to do so -
Congratulation! Xp is awesome. Its an honor to be their ambassador. I owned maybe 20 different detectors the past 7-8 years but now i only got 5 and 2 of them or XP.
I'm looking to get the deus one, I currently have the simplex plus and the legend, im interested in the elliptical HF coil Though ive had problems with the mi4, and ive seen other youtubers have problems with the mi4 too My "buzzing" on the mi4 stopped working, it sounds too quiet and I swear I lost sensitivity I changed it to pulse and its hearable again and seems to have restored sensitivity The ground is about to freeze soon so I dont have to decide till march what pinpointer I want to get I kinda want the mi4 again because I love the buzzing way more then other pointers beeping But if I get a second mi4 and gives me trouble 6 months later like the first one I'll be really dissapointed I'm interested to see when pay streak does a review of the nokta accupoint, maybe I should get that in march, I'll watch a few other youtubers reviews of it too
WOW !!! Merrill.. so very exciting for you and also for us. You will bring a new slant on the Deus and in depth as you can do. I can't wait for your new videos. Go, go go...
Congratulations Merrill! Thats awesome news! XP recently sent me a Deus 2 and I’ve fallen in love with it! They’re an amazing company that really cares about their customers! I’m definitely looking forward to your upcoming XP videos! Tell Benjamin at XP I said Hi if you see him 😂🤙
Soil moves, and sand shifts. There's always something to be found. I remember detecting a very popular wealthy tourist beach where 3 detectorists had been b4 me. Found a total of $7.50 and a Fitbit. When i caught up with them, turned out i found more than they did. They had better machines and way more experience than me at the time. Great video, informative as always. :) Congratulations on the sponsorship :)
Congratulations 🎉!!!! And excellent choice handing off your site to Lou! You are both Legendary! Y’all got me through Covid and taught me a lasting hobby. Anytime I feel anxious or just want to have fun, metal detecting delivers. Congratulations to you both ❤from North Carolina
Man, congrats! You have brought out a laugh out of me everytime I view your videos amigo! I even watched when I was in the hospital with Covid-19 in 2020. As Bob Hope would say, Thanks for the memories! Lol
Awwwwwww. I loved all your MineLab Manticore videos! It’s my chosen detector and I won’t change to an XP. I did enjoy your videos, and appreciate all the help I’ve received from your channel! 👍Best of luck! ✌🏻
Congrats, Merrill. You have certainly earned your ambassador status with XP. I’ll be watching for you and Gary to release your instructional videos for XP products. Yay! 😎
Awesome for you. Bravo et bienvenue chez XP. J'ai appricié vos revues de détecteur, et je suis impatient de voir vos revues des détecteurs XP. Again, I love your videos and your humour. Don't change any of it. Great news and amazing adventure to come.
I am so happy for you mate! You made it to the top! Follow your heart and dreams! I will enjoy the journey with every video you put out there since the start of my own metal detecting adventure. Appreciate you and wish you all the best. Gooooooo
Great finds from one of the supposedly hunted out New York parks. Congratulations on your new adventure. Will Metal detecting NYC fade away into obscurity? I hope not. You are the most informative metal detecting site on you tube. Thank you for all your past videos, information and pedagogy. Regards, Dan.
Congratulations buddy! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time and do exceedingly well. Learning and teaching about metal detecting sounds like the dream come true for you. I hope you will have time to keep us all in the loop. What a day you had in the park! Unbelievable! I also want to thank you for increasing my knowledge and improving my technique. You are a remarkable teacher. Best wishes and thanks for sharing.
First let me congratulate you guys on an excellent hunt loaded with 24 silvers and secondly I want to congratulate you on XP picking you to represent them and their products. You've earned your title brother!
Huge congrats, and thank you... I always wanted to metal detect, i finally had a chance to start last year and I'm still going strong... Learning, and enjoying. This Channel has taught me the most. Sad that you won't be using other brands .... But it's a huge honour and recognition for all your work. Congrats!
I have no words. The few people to whom I owe what I have learned in almost two decades can be counted on one hand.At the end of this video, there are two of them together💣. Good to see you together
Congratulations on the XP Ambassador position (big plus for XP too!) from another huge XP Deus II fan. Best detector I’ve ever used (so far 😉). Looking forward to seeing your upcoming XP videos. And CRAZY good hunt Merrill, that was fun to watch, can only imagine how it was to dig that many silver out of that park. We’ve done great on the beach especially after a storm, but never in a park. Thanks for taking us along!
I'm absolutely excited for you, Merrill! Absolutely fantastic findings at the park. What a day out with great friends! What better way to end the video than with a great announcement in regards to your journey with XP detectors! Congratulations! It's because of you and your adventures with your XP Deus 2 that led me to purchase my very own! And I love this machine. I still love my very decorated Equinox 900, but my deus 2 is my go-to for the beaches I look forward to your new adventures with XP detectors and more videos finding that sushi!
Congratulations Merrill!!! I think your site is in good hands with Lou and I look forward to seeing what he does with it. Not sure I am ready to give up on the Nox, but you never know! Best of luck in your new venture! Hope you still have your day job! We need good teachers 😊
great news! well deserved! couldn't happen to a better man. looking forward to this and i am really happy to already own and use the deus2 as my primary and favorite detector.
Congratulations, Merrill. I've watched your videos for a while, but haven't commented until now. I will continue to watch, because I enjoy your humor, knowledge and seeing what you find. I am sad that I won't be seing you hunt with the manticore anymore. That is the machine I use, and I have learned from you. I wish you luck in your new journey. ❤
Awesome hunt Merrill! Congrats on the step up to XP detectors and being the new ambassador for XP. May you have many more great adventures especially with XP. Sunday I'll be able to buy an XPDues 2 and will enjoy learning it as I grow too. Again, congrats on your future endeavors. 👏👏👏
Congratulations Merrill! As a long time watcher and a very recent Dues 2 owner I’m excited to have someone of your teaching caliber representing XP. Looking forward to learning more about my machine from your videos. Cheers.
Huge congrats and well deserved. I've had my D2 for 2 full seasons and the finds from my favorite old trashy parks have been amazing. The so-called hunted out sites are now back in business. I'm looking forward to your XP videos and I'd also like to give a shoutout to Gary - Ambassador #1 - as I learned so much from watching his instructional videos. Good luck with your new venture!
Congratulations, Merrill! I’m delighted for you! I have 2 Deus IIs and a Deus I. I have A LOT to learn. Enjoy! I look forward to your instructional videos! Cheers from Bridgeport, Connecticut!
Great news Merrill!!! I bought my Deus II from watching your reviews. Looking forward to seeing tutorials because I know I'm probably not getting full potential of this machine yet.
I’ve had an incredible week learning. The beauty of the Deus 2 is that if you stick to the programs you can do very well but yes there are deeper understandings to unlock.
Well done Merrill! I have been watching your videos for a while now and never seen nothing like this in my 30 plus years of metal detecting, I have always been a Minelab man but now curiosity has killed the cat. I want to see what XP Deus has to offer looking forward to it. Keep up the good work my friend.
Congratulations Merrill! 🎉 very happy for you! I have my eye on the XP Deus 2 for my next detector. Look forward to your new videos. Does this mean you are done with your teaching gig?
I am so happy for you!! Ihave been waiting for your turn of good luck.i have been going through withdrawal from your metal detecting. Please makesure you continue tosend us great videos. I love it when good things happen to you, lets see if Anel can beat this.❤😊
Ok I got an inside man now. When is the upgraded version of the xp deus 2 coming out. Minelab is in trouble with the new guy at xp. They need you brother. Ps i won't tell anyone
Congratulations Merrill they couldnt have picked a better guy ! Have always enjoyed your channel and laughed alot at it . Looking forward to what comes next!
At first when you said where you were going I was so disappointed you were not going to the UK …..but then the actual news…. I can’t think of a better ambassador and I’m really looking forward to learning from you ….. congrats and it’s all very much deserved 🎉
@@MetalDetectingNYC you only need a permit for the Thames - you can detect anywhere along the foreshore that is crown owned land and not a SSI - as long as you stick to the basic ‘do no harm’ rules - Ireland is a different set of rules but there are miles of uk shorelines that are detectable… the only caveat is that many rouge water companies have been cutting corners recently and so you should be careful that you don’t end up on a beach that’s recently had a sewage dump event…. 🤢
Great hunt guys. 👏👊🏴☠️ Congrats Merril wishing you well on the next chapter with Deus. Let us know when the first deus discount coupon code drops 😉😁 Cant wait to see your future videos with deus products in depth. 👍👊🏴☠️ PS Good pick with Lou on the i rate site..hes already an excellent Staten Italy food critic 😂😁
Congratulations Merrill - what an honour ! Been watching your videos long before watching Gary's and think you'll make a great team. When you get to visit England ask Gary to take you on a dig with Hayling Detect based in the south not far from London. He is a club member and we get to go on some great land where Roman and Celtic coins have been found. Looking foward to hearing your views on the Xtrem Hunter. Gary gave me a quick demo when I bought one recently. Kind regards Andrew UK
Omg! Dude! Super congrats. Nobody deserves it more. I’ve been a fan of yours since I started detecting and learned so much from you. I can’t wait to see what’s to come.😆… and now I have to go buy a Deus2.
Wow Merrill! This is huge news! Congrats man! I can’t wait to see you in the xp videos! also, please ask for a smaller elliptical coil for the deus 2!!!
Huge congratulations! Watching Brad’s (Green Mountain Metal Detecting) machine sniff out great stuff in iron-clogged cellar hole sites for years while I struggle in similar sites with the Nox 800, I’d say you’ve gone with the right company/technology.
Amigo Congratulations on your new step of Metal Detecting. Good luck to you my friend and I want to see you with more fines at the beach with the Deus 2 Good luck 🍀👍
Thank you for the youtube videos you have done. I have an old AT gold but I am thinking about buying a new one for my gold digging hobby in the Finnish Lappland. I recently bought the Xterra Pro influenced by your video. I is a great detector and most of all I learned to use a Minelab detector which was a new thing to me. Also, I started to investigate more, inspired by your videos, what different kinds of detectors there really are and at the same time my appetite did grow especially when I have my gold digging hobby. The gold nuggets in Lappland are up to 99% very small and therefore my thoughts are around the ML Goldmonster 1000, EQX 900 or the Manticore and recently the CTX 3030. The 1000 and 3030 are old (as you said who wants to buy a 12-year-old laptop) and therefore I am waiting for maybe a new CTX in the spring. I have also investigated analog detectors such as Nexus but the use of them seems to be a bit complicated at the info it gives compared to the ML newer ones is much less. I am somehow now stuck with the ML detectors and maybe their new versions of the old ones. I have not investigated the XP detectors so what alternatives could be suitable for me from them compared to the ML detectors and gold digging. Br. Kaj-Olof @@MetalDetectingNYC
I will add the other channel to my subscribe list. That said, it's great for you to be an ambassador for XP. I have Minelab and the original XP that I use. Both have their good and bad. Would like to get the Deus II. And I am sure someday I will own that machine also. It will be great to have you delve into the deep dark reaches of this machine, and oh, so looking forward to it. The XP machines have so many capabilities that it is almost overwhelming (almost). But, to get the most out of the machine, it's the little things that you can tweak that will take you to the next level. KUDOS!!!
Congratulations. I hope it was worth the check. Thanks for everything you have taught me but honestly I miss your reviews and will continue to do so. Good luck.
