My first thought was that this is her rainbow baby. My family tends to get rainbows for the babies they have after a miscarriage because they are what makes such a worry filled time(rainy) seem so beautiful.

Ellie you said it yourself that those boys giggle every single night before they go to bed. Those two are some of the happiest kids, they know you love them and adore them and those two are so excited to have a baby brother. Jackson will always be your first baby he’s the one who made you a mom. Don’t think for a second that you are letting them down in any sort of way. In just a 13 minute vlog the happiness of those boys shines through like lightning. 💛

I absolutely love how open you are throughout your pregnancy. Not a lot of people realize how LUCKY we are that you share such intimate moments with us. Sarah Caulder I’m 17 weeks and 2 days with a boy. My daughter is 16 months and I always think the same thing. I sit on my couch and cry looking at her. It’s so overwhelming she’s just so precious to me and I’m happy i got blessed with a boy because I want her to be my only girl until she’s a little older. Everything will be fine mama.

How do you think Calvin is going to react to the new baby? I had he impression that Jackson was more "mature" when Calvin was born, while Calvin is so attached to Ellie. Are you afraid he is going to be jealous or are you happy he is going to grow up?

Anna Rostagno good question! i agree, jackson’s always seemed much more independent. not saying theres anything wrong with calvin being more attached, it’s just their individual personalitys! but i’m deff interested to see how calvin reacts!!

Our second son is the same age as Calvin and is very similar in being more attached than our eldest. We were slightly worried about how he would react when we had our third but he is the sweetest big brother! No jealously in the slightest, just so much love to give ❤️

I'm crying watching this Ellie. I have a 16month old little girl and I am 29 weeks pregnant with girl #2. I am having a difficult time with mommy guilt and knowing Maggie won't be my only little baby anymore. I know it will be wonderful but my hormones have full control right now. Sometimes you just have to cry it out.

I love the bump app! I’m 23 weeks and woke up with the worst Charley horse. When I looked at my bump app later it said “why you’re getting more leg cramps.” I swear the app has predicted or helped explained a lot of my pregnancy symptoms. Happy 24 weeks!

Ellie, your feelings are 100% normal. I’m a mother of 3 boys and I remember going through the same emotions. I always say that I was a better mom to my oldest and that is simply because I was able to give him my all. I still cry about our days when it was just me and him. It’s just that special bond with our first born. I think it’s also because we love so fiercely that we are afraid of not having enough “fierce” love to go around. But it’s because we are so fierce (in every way ☺️) that there will always be enough 💙💙💙

I know it's emotional and hard to think that you could possibly love another baby, but your love is not limited, you don't have to fit all your babies inside your circle of love, you have unlimited amount of love to fill your babies with. ❤️❤️ As the mom, you get sad that you'll take time away from one kid and give it to another, but your kids have huge hearts, and will be spreading their love and time to little brother as well. 💙💙

When you talked about having your moment with Jackson before Calvin came reminded me so much of my last moments with my first before I had my second. I cried a lot before I had my second because I didn't want to loose the bond I had with my first. After I had my second it was just another testament to me of how much our love can grow. I wasn't losing any love or bond with my first but extending my amount of love I can give to love another little baby. What an amazing gift we have been given to be able to love more then one person unconditional.

Ellie my midwife suggested with both pregnancies Natural Calm it's magnesium drink! If your consuming alot of calcium your body will use more magnesium to process it! So you need more magnesium!

Ellie I so feel your emotions! It's the same story with me. It just felt so bittersweet when I was pregnant with my second and I cried all the time when I cuddled my firstborn son. He just your first baby and he holds such a large part of your heart because he was the one that made you a mother! Not to say you don't love your other children just as much but the relationship with your first is super special. So yeah I'm crying right there with you! 😭

We took rv out 2 days ago! Had fun ... make sure all is working before leaving on the big trip! We took a day trip and came back home and check tire pressures and water lines!

Ellie's pregnancy hormones and the love for her kids just the sweetest thing ever, when Ellie started to tear up i was doing so too. I also love how much Ellie blossoms when shes pregnant. Not long now time is flying by for you & for us. can't believe 24 weeks already, but am glad can't wait to see what new baby looks like. Was funny because other day for the first time Calvin looked like Jackson but they both have individual looks one looks like mom and one dad. makes me wonder who the new baby would look like.

I love the emotion! I totally get that feeling too with Jackson and telling him that he will always be your baby. I'm twenty years old and my mom still tells me that I will always be her baby. First borns change moms lives forever!! So it's totally normal to be emotional over that feeling.

Aww...you are such a good mommy. Those tears are not just from your pregnancy hormones...they are for the love of your children. I have 4 children and with each one I remember having feelings like you're having now. They are between the ages of 17 to 29 and I still get teary eyed thinking about them and how much they've grown. Ellie it is so amazing that you are taking time to really appreciate all of these special little moments. Because believe me it all goes by so fast. And before you know it they are all grown up and have their own lives and their own families. And it makes me really proud but it is also extremely hard and sad. I have been raising my granddaughter, she is 9 and I appreciate all of the special little moments more so now because I know how fast time goes and she will be grown all gone too. We have a rainbow puzzle like that as well. He will love it. Even my older boys love to use them as bridges - and I know Jackson and Calvin love their cars as well. It will get a lot of use after your done using it as a decoration.

Ellie I totally understand you being emotional when it comes to Jackson always being your baby. My eldest is 13 years old and my youngest is just 4 years old and I still get loads of cuddles and kisses from my little Noah and I sit and forget just how big my biggest boy is now and it will catch me off guard so I'll call him over and just cuddle him. They grow up so fast and you forget just how quick time passes you sometimes and then it hits you and it can be really emotional. I still get cuddles from my biggest boy just not the sit on my lap kinda ones which is what I miss the most. Enjoy these cuddle times. They won't be small enough to sit on your lap for long enough.

I am certainly done having babies. I am actually having a hysterectomy this month. My baby boys are now 11, 15 and 18. I also had a miscarriage before my last son. I cried huge crocodile tears listening to you and remembering how I felt every time I brought home another sweet babe. I will be watching my oldest graduate High School in May and entering into the Army. Sending you lots of hugs!

Oh sweet mama! I have three kiddos and hearing you talk about how hard it was going from 1to 2 kids and feeling like I couldn’t give them each enough one on one time. But rest assured three is easier to transition to than two kids. You already know how to juggle everyone’s needs so it just works out. Not saying it will be a breeze but it is easier. Hang in their mama. Life with three babies is amazing.

We are due with our baby boy July 7th, we have a two year old daughter as well. I was bawling by the end of this video. While my daughter is sleeping right next to me. It’s such a bittersweet and emotional feeling welcoming another baby, I am scared but so excited at the same time. It’s the most unexplainable feeling ever ❤️

I loved the video today! It was sweet and I feel people can really connect with the emotions you shared Ellie. It's was great to see even if you were not sure you wanted to share some parts. Also, Jared's editing was great and added to the sentimental moments of the vlog.

Ellie, I am 25 weeks and I feel the same way about my 1st born. I had him 5 years ago and have had 4 misscaraiges since. But now that I am almost positive we are gonna take this sweet baby girl home I have been so sad that me and my son only have 3 months left of it being just us. I cry A LOT about it too! I even cried when you started crying! I am excited for change but also not sure if I am ready to sat goodbye to us as a family of 3. It's something that I struggle with everyday. But I am so beyond blessed and thankful to have this baby and to have made it this far. I am so happy for your family Ellie and we both have rainbow 🌈 babies! Love you and your family !

Ellie, I totally understand crying when you talk things out! I do the same thing. Sometimes I just tell my boyfriend just don't mind the tears, I just need to let them out. It's crazy how it happens, too. They just sneak up on ya, and I'm not even pregnant! lol. I love seeing your belly grow and I can't wait to see baby Mecham!

Hi Ellie. You are not being over emotional due to hormones. I'm a NaNa now and I cried remembering what it felt like when I went from 1 to 3 children. Isn't it interesting that as our children get older they naturally need us less? We're all on our own distinct path and part of other's paths as well but even birth order sets us up for lessons that we are to learn here in this life. You'll find something that is just for you and each of your children to experience together that is special for you both. The fact that you're mindful of the changes is great but seriously don't worry....everything is as it should be. Much love to you Sweet Mama.

Sunlight soapbar (don't know if you can get them,but other bars of soap help to) break a piece of and put it in an old sock, piece of fabric or something. And place this at your feet in your bed! It helps for cramps and for restless legs.

Dr Bronners soap is great! I love the peppermint one. It smells delicious but it also helps with acne!

McKenna Speakman we use Dr Bronner's for everything!!! The baby one is the best for newborns and kids! I love the peppermint for my hair, and the citrus for my body!!

Ellie, you are not alone! I totally cried with you! I know exactly how you were feeling in that moment. My boys are 16 months apart and when we had our second I remember holding on to our oldest & just squeezing him extra tight the night I went into labor. A new baby is so exciting, but it's hard to not be sad about what you are (in a way) "loosing"..for me in that moment part of the reason I was so sad wss because I knew I would not be able to give our oldest all of my attention as I had the first year and a half of his life..

Everyone is pregnant and I love it.. I’m only 6 weeks and seeing the people I watch everyday go through a pregnancy is so helpful. Even tho we all are hurting and nauseous but it helps!
