I live in Dehradun Uttarakhand , our city have many Tibetan refuges for decades they are very peaceful, friendly, hardworking, and really good people, unlike some other self claimed peaceful community. Not only they contribute to local functions every year they even do organize charity funds for those in need.

First know your history then comment. The original refugee destination is Nepal. There have been uncountable events of genocide and flow of refugees from India to Nepal over thousands of years but there has been no such refugee problem in Nepal as it has been safe and peaceful region for people of any background to live together in harmony. The focal point of most refugees from Eurasia is Nepal. India surrounds Nepal from 3 sides that's why it looks like the focal point might be somewhere in India but turns out Nepal is the ultimate destination for refugees. For example in recent history during the 90s, more than hundred thousand Hindus and Lhotsampas were kicked out by Bhutan and India refused to give refuge for them and transported them straight to Nepal border and the refugee camps were built in Eastern plains of Nepal. There are still thousands of those Bhutanese refugees living in those camps

Indian Hindus, Brahmins persecuted original Buddhists from India. Many of them escaped to Nepal. That's why you can find the original Tantric Vajrayana Buddhism followed in Nepal by Newar Buddhists in Kathmandu valley in original Sanskrit till today but in India they're trying to revive Buddhism with the help of Tibetan Buddhism which is super modified and different than the original one

Yes, you should know the reality of your country. The Chinese government took over Tibet by using force. What did they achieve by attacking these peaceful Tibetans and monks? They never fought with anyone in their life. They did not have a proper army. It was my dream to visit Tibet and the monasteries, but now I think it will remain a dream forever.

It wouldn't have been possible without Nepal. They can't cross directly to India due to tight and unfriendly borders between India and China. Same problem with Bhutan. On the other hand, Nepal has friendly and loose border with China and open border with India so almost all the refugees escape to Nepal nowadays. No need to thank India
