Then I cried, because I despair of humanity ever getting its act together long enough to work to develop coherent plans to deal with the environmental issues that we face. Watching a local chinese vlogger who also interacts with the locals of the places she visited gives as a different and deeper insights into the lives of people there, as opposed to international tourists who vlog about China. The common language in part helps to facilitate interaction, although older folks you can only communicate in their own dialects/language.
One should not be confused between foreign tourists and foreign expatriates regardless of their nationality. There are foreign and other Chinese content creators based in mainland China who have extensively featured their Xinjiang and Tibet travels
@@yolsub31 Tibet is in the PRC. Same country, different languages. Also, within Tibetan there's many different dialects-There are Tibetic groups that speak Mongolian and identify as Mongols; and there are Mongolic groups that speak Tibetan and identify as Tibetan.

Tibet feels like the most spiritual country to me. The lifestyle of the people is simply the one I would want to live in the future. Also I’m a new subscriber here❤❤
Watching your videos makes me question what I read in the news. I read abt the suppression of Tibetan language and cultures. Same for Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. But when I watch travel vlogs of these places I see people who can only speak the local language and I see strong preservation of local cultures - in their costumes, on road signs, their daily activities etc. Like we don't see aboriginal Australian languages, Maori language, native American languages, Polynesian languages commonly used in Australia, NZ, Hawaii, mainland America etc. Let alone seeing people wearing the traditional costumes day to day like many native Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians. Pretty impressive I must say! And thanks for showing us China. Tibet and Xinjiang or both on my bucket list. Hope that's not too far away!

Tibet is a wonderful place, visited Shigatse in May and still feels part of my soul is left there. Unfortunately only spent very little time in Lhasa, can't wait to plan my next visit there.

Would be great if you are able show the different Muslim communities in the different regions and how cultures and ethnic groups interact, find harmony with one another. In North-western and South-western China, there are many Muslin communities there. But in other parts of mainland China, I believe that there are barely many Muslin communities there, because most of the Muslins there do not live together and form a community. I mean, Muslins there are mostly mixed with non-Muslins in neighbourhoods across cities.

We were in Shangri-la city in late May, the last stop of our Kunming, Dali, Lijiang trip. We could hardly breathe in Shangri-la! We were very happy to experience the Tibetan hospitality. How you had a great visit to Lhasa
The altitude of Lhasa is only 3,600 meters, and most people will not feel too much discomfort as long as they do not run, climb mountains and other sports. If the altitude exceeds 5,000 meters, most people will have headaches, dry nasal passages, and cannot fall asleep or sleep well at night. To be honest, Lhasa just needs a simple look. The county towns on the Tibet National Highway are the most beautiful.
Great video. We all know Richard Gere has never been to Tibet or interacted with Tibetan people, but he cares about Tibet😂 You on the other hand is on the ground in Tibet and interacted with the ordinary people and showed us what things are really like in Lhasa.

I like travelling in Tibet and Xinjiang. I went there by motorcycle twice. It will be a huge challenge if you dont have a vehicle, lucky you got companies.

This is sooooooo amazing! I just recently had a lesson with a Japanese student who went to Lhasa, Tibet way back in 1983. She said that it changed a lot. And yes! some of the people died during their long journey.
