A beautiful day for flying. I planned to take Si for a look at the floods but the waters had returned to almost normal, only a few pools remained as witness to the extent of the flooding. The scenery was very Tolkienesque. Mist hanging around the hills and valleys reminding me of the mythical mountains of Mordor that lay to the East of the River Anduin. We flew on to Welshpool airport but didn’t land as it looked like it was still drying out.
