Harness should be tight so if you do end up in a crash the seat should absorb the majority of the force instead destroying your shoulders and collar bone

Set your harness adjustment so your in the middle of the ammount of adjustment. Then if you want to let say Adam or will drive it they would have room to adjust down and someone bigger would have room to adjust up

You want the harness as tight as possible. Also, the harness mount should be shoulder height or higher to keep the harness from pulling your shoulders down into the seat. Could snap a collarbone in a hard crash.

ill give you an educated guess for the harness. it is suppose to be adjusted in the rear so you can adjust the front to be completely tight so you can not move while drifting. but can loosen the the front so you can be comfortable while daily driving. i would tighen the front all the way then adjust the rear so you cannot move then that way you loosen the front and it will be comfortable.

Biggest upgrade for the e30 would be throwing out that garb roof rack

Use paint protection film for the cage, like what goes on front bumpers of new cars, most tint shops or instal places have scraps they will give you.

The harness needs to be tight so you dont move at all. You should read the SCCA rules on harness and seat requirements.

You don’t want any play in the harness. Centimeters of movement in a crash could be the difference between the big hurt or walking away.

Helicopter blade tape works wonderfully on roll cages. I've used it on my mountain bikes on the down tube and it's always taking rocks and still looks brand new

The tighter you are held in the seat the less an accident will hurt because the harness is holding you down and your not slamming against slack in the harness

When spring comes, you should maybe do some carbon bits on your M2. A lip, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and some sideskrits. It makes the M2 look 100 times better!!

You want your harness to be as tight as possible with no slack in it at all. The more slack that’s in it the more chance of injury in an accident.

If You have play in the harness, it works against You, You will break bones, if its tight your gonna come out of it with bruses, I’ve done a lotta motorsports, and it needs to bee as tight as possible, both for safty, and so You dont slide around in your Seat while really driving it 😉

The harness should have no movement at all, In case of a crash that movement is what will allow you to injure your self - Depending on speed you can generate huge force in 10-15cms (Seat to harness) (over 2-5 tonne) The less you move the less force will impact shoulders / pelvis area. Its good practice to learn to drive fully strapped down with no movement - as competition generally requires it that way also. 370z is looking baller dude!

I wouldn’t even try to protect the cage it’s painted with steel-it. If it scuffs you just spray over it and it’s good to go

Thats not a sticker its called clear laminate. Its made to go over decals to help protect it from the weather/sun/scratches etc... You want clear vinyl wrap.

If you want a better alternative for the rollbar you can do steering wheel wrap and wrap the roll cage

Maybe try some heat on that wrap to shrink it or get the bubbles out 🤷🏽‍♂️

Actually think you should tighten the harness behind, so you have more adjustment for maybe if will wanna drive?

Adjust the belts so they’re tight on you and in/near the middle of the adjustability. Then give and take a bit so others can drive too.

The way the harness is now you will jerk if you crash and probs break a collar bone it would be best if it was tight to you so you are one with the seat that way if you crash you don’t jerk just get some sore shoulders maybe

Chris you definitely want that harness tight as you can get it you dont wanna move at all! Your head shouldn't move if you hit anything! And you definitely drove the 240sx better than the Z for sure but 80psi will do that for you! Lol

chris u can always ask chris nap or have him adjust it really quickly. when i was out on a private day he was happy to adjust one of the drivers harnesses before he went out because he was having the same issue

I’d adjust the harness more, if it’s not going any tighter when your wearing it and you can still move, then your too lose, plus think about when someone else that’s thinner or smaller then you drives it, they wouldn’t be able to adjust it any smaller for them, if you adjust the straps at the back, then it’ll fit you and others better
