Littleblake9180, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for these uploads, man. 🙏🏾 Soul Train is just a dope ass time capsule; a window into a time when your favorite songs & your parents' favorite songs were at the top of the charts. It's always fun to see/remember the fashions & dancing trends of each era (many propelled by the success of the show) Again, THANK YOU & keep 'em coming!
Beautiful Cherrelle and Stephanie Rip Robert Brookins who I saw in Concert with Stanley Clarke Band in 86 very talented Multi instrumentalist along with being a singer great upload
After watching this entire episode, you can just hear it, that funk/ soul music we’re changing drastically, the grooves just wasn’t there anymore! I think it was safe to say, it died and the New Jack Swing Era was taking shape!
It takes me right back in my mind to exactly where I was at the time. Teenage years, high school, school dances where we could show them a new step or two ! The _best_ _of_ _times_ ❗
Yep definitely a big swing from pop sounding soul music to new jack swing and hip hop...late 1988 through early 1990 was a big transitional period in music from the 80s sound to the 90s sound
@@musicalmelodies3595I've always felt the change started in late 1987. If it hadn't been for the Bad album, Keith's Make It Last Forever and the LL/Moe Dee feud, 1987 would have been remembered as a year when nothing really happened.
