This talk takes you round the 1840 room in Tate Britain showing you the work of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood and other paintings of the period.
Note that since it was recorded most of the Pre-Raphaelite paintings have been moved to a room of their own but many of the paintings mentioned are still on display.
Full PDF notes of this talk are at www.shafe.co.u....

Tate Britain should get rid of the modernist conceptual art rubbish to Tate Modern, you have an incredible collection of 19th early 20th century paintings without the space to hang it. The main hall is wasted.

You are right. The perspective has been distorted so we feel closer to the action. Of course, if it annoys you it has lost its effect.
