I will never understand how people can produce such masterpieces! My favourite from these times is The Lady of Shallot by John William Waterhouse, the most beautiful, sad and moving picture ever created.
I love the Pre-Raphaelite arts, and enjoyed watching this very enlightened documentary, only that, the tick tick background music makes the whole series sounds like a forensic investigation program.
Lizzie Siddall was THE redhead. Watch the tv show “Desperate Romantics” to get a small taste of what she was like (although I can’t remember if she was a redhead in the show; it does give some idea otherwise).
