WOW, I am so impressed with what you did with your van. This old goat (69) bought a Craftsman battery tool kit( sawsall, circular, jig saw, impact driver, drill etc) even though I barely have an knowledge of how to use them. Have done a few simple jobs while learning how to use them, but you girl are amazing! I found your Portugal trip video here on RU-vid which I loved. ( I’ve subscribed) and now have watched 3 post of yours.👍🏻❤️😎 RU-vid’s algorithm probably pointed me in your direction because I’ve subscribed to a young lady here in the US that’s been living in her car for about 6 years. Fair play. There's 2 ways to get about a van build: quick, cheap and functional; and immaculate finish, expensive and all the features. This is the best in the first way. Respect to you for getting on with all it and making it happen! Good job

In a youtube full of very expensive van builds I loved the simple and very effective build you did. I would not describe this as clueless, seemed to me you knew what you were doing. I am on version 3 of my van build and it still doesn't feel as cosy as yours. Well done. Subscribed.

Great build! I built a van out mostly with parts I found in "scrap heaps", plus buying a few things, here in Southern California, USA. Mine wasn't nearly as cozy as yours looks, and I heated it on the few occasions necessary with my two-burner Coleman stove, with a window cracked to let out the fumes. I have had several different styles of vehicles since then to build out into a camper. Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, young lady! Many blessings and much love!

It is always good to remind all of you car dwellers/RVers that using fire in a car can be quite risky due to the many synthetic fabrics around (a friend of mine lost her van because of a little candle). Having a fire extinguisher on hand or using fire outside is something to be considered. Other than that, very, very cozy. 🎉🍀

Hi there,great van build,just a thought to you on this! If you become resident in portugal,selll the van before that happens in the uk as you won't get it re registered in pt like that,it has to be as the log book states lots of people get caught out on that,just saying,great fit out,well done you.🎉

Great build, just a few things van builders forget. Ventilation, go and have a look at a caravan floor, they have holes in to allow for ventilation and prevent mould, a sealed box will get damp and you’re have a mould problem in a few years. Also regardless of battery type, vrla, gel or lithium make sure you have ventilation, ideally with external acces or away from living quarters as they can produce explosive gas, mainly hydrogen during the charge period, with todays battery pack technology I’d just use a battery power pack and a solar panel, makes things a lot easier.

I did the same at Covid Times with a 7.5 To Truck and wanted to move to Portugal, found every Step in Building again in your Video and it was fun ! Unluckly I never was in Portugal and make two Journeys to Spain !

Watched loads of van build videos this was an absolutely amazing build. Love the way you seemed to have just stopped somewhere and got on with it, improvising as you go, using a wood stump for things, shows what can be achieved. Brilliant video.

Amazing video and hopefully everything worked as planned. I've racked out a few vans for my work stuff over the years and after using it for a while adapted it as I found some things did work and others didn't and I also saw other peoples with excellent ideas that I stole.

Hi my UK friend, I have been watching lots of camper van builds to give me ideas for my solo travels. I would never say you are clueless as to what to do as you show good content on working on a budget to sort everything out. But as I like electronics and (as an extra woodworking) I am taking an easier approach for the electrics and a cheaper one. No batteries, no inverter, no mppt controller, no fuses or breakers, just one custom made unit to do everything, with a solar panel . My van will only be used in the summer. I have subscribed and will follow your journey.

Sell the Bulkhead in good condition online. Many people search for Caravan that someone's Breaking and transfer the small sink and worktop with cupboards below straight into the van. You can put Overhead cupboards in too. Take 5 mins to think what you want in. Best of Luck.👍

Furtan is used a lot on Narrowboats and it works very well I know have used it on my Narrowboat .

When you tighten the drill in the chuck, just back it off a smidge that should stop the drill slipping in the chuck

8:05 It's the perfect length because the Ford Transit was designed to transport sheets of plywood which are 8x4 foot.

U make some guys look silly with these woodwork skills😊

My advice would have been to keep the bulkhead that separates the back of the van from the driver's compartment. At least keep the part that is behind the driver. This would keep anything that is in the back from hitting the driver in case of an accident
