Welcome to the 2 Guys & A Cooler Channel. Today we take a look at a piece of equipment that I've been using for several months. It's the 25# Electric sausage stuffer from the Sausage Maker. I bought this unit back in January and it has literally transformed the way I make sausages and salamis. The Sausage Maker carries all sorts of stuffers. In the category of electric stuffers they have 3 types. They carry a 20#, a 25#. and a 30# unit. These are all large stuffers meant for the hobbyist or business that's serious about making sausage.
The electrical motor that's attached to the stuffer is just awesome. This unit allows you to make sausages with total control and precision. Because the gears are so well built the electric sausage stuffers can handle even the smallest of diameter sausages like snack sticks. This is where most of the competition will fall short. The speed control lets you work at your own pace by controlling the speed in which the piston lowers. At first I thought that it lowered too slow but as soon as I put some sausage in it I realized that it was just perfect.
There is an air relief valve that removes the air between the top of the ground meat and the piston. If you happen to get air pockets in your ground meat mixture as you fill the cylinder this air relief valve WILL NOT remove that. This is why it is important for you to stuff the cylinder with ground meat in such a manner that no air pockets are formed. If you do get a few air pockets you can easily remove them with a sausage pricker once you stuff your sausage. This will avoid any spoilage issues..
The foot pedal allows for hands free operation giving you more control while stuffing the sausage.
I bought this from #TheSausageMaker @ www.sausagemaker.com/?Click=1...

Hey Cesar, you will be so glad that you bought it. There's a good chance you could double your production at your business (it's that good) The way I figure it this machine has already paid for itself in time saved and product made... No kidding.

Thanks Jerry. The first 60 seconds of me using it, I was wondering why I didn't buy it sooner. It's not cheap but well worth the money if you make lots of sausage.. Thanks for the comment..

I have the 30 LB. unit. I lubricate the piston every time with olive oil. When the tube is empty and the unit is engaged in reverse, the noise it makes is loud and concerning. Do I add more oil or do I move into a food grade safe lubricant?

Yeah after 60 pounds of brats hand cranked, I can safely say.....I NEEEEEED THIS. Also just made a nice purchase of sausage mixes from them. Hopefully I'll enjoy them.

Can it handle stuffing 19mm casings? Do you have to use more water when doing so?
@2guysandacooler
@2guysandacooler 4 года назад
It can handle 19mm. I made a video using some 19mm casings to make snack sticks. They were collagen casings so I didn't need any water but if I were to have used sheep casings I would have used a little water. The speed control allows you to really control how fast the piston drops making it super easy to use small or large diameter casings.. Had a question on this. I see in a lot of your videos when you make sausages you do small ~5lb or so test batches. How much does this stuffer leave behind in the tube/on the piston? I feel like my current electric stuffer leaves quite a bit behind which sucks when doing smaller batches. Also, do you have a coupon code for TSM? Thank you! Thank you
@2guysandacooler
@2guysandacooler 11 месяцев назад
mine doesn't leave very much behind. I also use a stuffing horn cleaner that pushes all the meat into the casing. If I had to weigh the amount left behind, I would say it's about a couple ounces. 2-3 give or take. I do happen to have a discount code for The sausage maker. it's 2GUYS10. It's a 10% off. If you are a patron of the channel you get 15% off just FYI😉. This is the stuffing horn cleaner that I was talking about: tinyurl.com/3atajmzf and here's the stuffer I use: tinyurl.com/jetykdua

Hey Eric- I’ve been watching your videos and been learning a lot about the salami making..... my question is this, I see the prices of these stuffers, are they that superior to LEM ‘s that is priced at $750-$800
@2guysandacooler
@2guysandacooler 3 года назад
It really all depends on what you are looking for. LEM's stuffers are Chinese built. Their gear system is smaller than the sausage makers and the motor is smaller as well. In the beginning you probably won't notice much but as you use it the gears and the motor will start to show signs of wear and tear as LEM's system will have a difficult time with smaller diameter sausages. This means if you try to do snack sticks you will be putting loads of strain on the motor. On the other hand TSM's unit is American Made and quite sturdy. Very heavy duty unit built for home and commercial application. I've used both and you can probably guess which one I prefer. Don't get me wrong. LEM's unit will get the job done but you will most likely be in the market for another one before to long///

I have the 30 lb electric stuffer from the same company, and I put olive oil around the rubber ring. When retracting the piston back up it struggles. Am I not putting enough oil on the ring?

I would say add more oil

How does this one compare vs the Big Bite electric struffer
@2guysandacooler
@2guysandacooler 3 года назад
You can't really compare the 2. Sure they are both stuffers but it's like the difference between a bicycle and a Cadillac. LEM: 33 Watts, .044 HP, Made in China, undersized Gears, main shaft is skinny, The Sausage Maker: 150 watts, 1/10 HP, Made in America, oversized, main shaft is heavy duty....... I can go on an on. The value comes down to the construction. With better gears, a stronger motor, and a solid main shaft you can make everything from the skinny snack stick (which puts a tremendous amount of wear on your stuffer gears) to the big fat mortadella with no problem. I've had mine for 2 years and I use it commercially with no problems. For home use this beast will literally last you forever. It's an incredible piece of equipment...
