Michelle's Catwoman is more like what the original Catwoman was like. She was insane. She was beautiful. Elusive. Dark. Full of sorrow. So its all good if some didn't like her, but Selena Kyle in this stayed true to the real one.
My God....she is the hottest Catwoman ever! She is Catwoman, like how Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and Chris Evans is Captain America. Couldn't have gotten anyone better than Michelle :)
This is the best CatWoman, but hallie is still more beautiful and has a way better body. But Michelle Pfeiffer did put them to shame in her role as CatWoman, it was more ironic.
I mean it wasn't really Anne's fault, that's how the wrote catwoman's character in that movie. Mainly the reason why this film is so good, because of Tim burton (but this catwoman is my favorite tho)
I love Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman she rocked it like no other!! I love her acting... in every movie she's done she's remarkable!! I don't think many people give her enough credit... she's and amazing actress!
she won an Oscar in Scarface which was her first big movie. Not many people win an Oscar let alone on their first movie (starring along side Al Pacino). Only other person I can think of who did that was Audrey Hepburn. But lately Michelle has become underrated.
After just watching 'Batman Returns' again, Michelle is the absolute best Selina Kyle/Catwoman ever. Her acting is to point and she totally exceeds the essence of the DC comic character. Why she hasn't won an Oscar still baffles me. We won't see Selina like this again in a very long time.
Interestingly, if you look now, many do not like this version of Batman or Gotham, much less of the story, but everrybody still love Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. She is timeless.
One of my favourite movies of all times! Remember seeing this as a teen in the early 90's and absolutely fell in love with Michelle Pfeiffer/Catwoman. She's a wicked anti-hero and I love everything about her rendition of Catwoman.
I think that's why they gave it to her for *Love Field,* because it was a serious, civil rights film as opposed to a kids' comic book movie, which is how *Batman Returns* was dismissed when it came out. I mean, it got favorable reviews for its genre, but it was not taken seriously for awards.
+Joanne Batt "Two lives left.. I think I'll save one for next Christmas, but in the meantime (pulls out taser) How about a kiss Santy Claus????????????"
How Halle Berry ever imagined she could compete with Michelle Pfeiffer is completely beyond me. Pfeiffer was the best with Julie Newmar running a close second. Love them both!
"Bruce, I would love to live with you in your castle.... forever just like in a fairytale" that part though. Ive always wanted to live in a castle, in the highest room in the tallest tower. Exactly like in a fairytale 😭💕
La Serpenta Canta AMEN! Those Noaln movies were nothing but 3 hours a piece of sheer boredom, useless throwaway characters like the Scarecrow and Ra's. Not to mention that Gotham City looked like Chicago or any other boring city with no fantasy. Catwoman didn't even look like a damn cat....give me Tim Burton any day with all its flaws. At least, his view had visual elements, fantasy, imagination and the characters were wacky fun
Jimmy Stinky You think that Christopher Nolan has no imagination? That is the second silliest thing said here. His movies may not suit you, but he certainly has imagination. It is easy to apply imagination to a place with illogical physics and fantasy, but it takes much more skill to apply it to a realistic environment. That brings me to my next point: the Nolan Batman films were meant to be realistic. Do you think that a real Catwoman would be like that stupid, self licking lady with an uncomfortable, reflective, jet suit? Do you think that a real Gotham would look like a play set? Also, if you think that Ra's al-Ghul and Scarecrow were meaningless characters, you are quite wrong. I want you to watch "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight Rises" carefully to see that they are not completely useless. La Serpenta Canta Why do you think that the Nolan trilogy was so bad that you would be so drastic to say that it was the worst trilogy of all.
that's my point on every Batman film before nolan's (except for the animated ones): of course Burton's style fit's Gotham like a glove but then why couldn't he shot it, at least, to not look like a clear set made for a movie, Burton's take is nice to watch sure, and the characters we're cool, but the truth of the matter is, that they were not the best. Great scenery and art? Sure. Great villain interpretations? Of course, great films? Sorry, no.
After seeing Antman and The Wasp last night, I went here to check how brilliant Miss Pfeiffer was in this role. I grew up adoring this character and memorizing her lines. Her one liners and quotes are just so legendary. Then I realized that both her and Michael Keaton are now part of MCU, the latter playing the vulture in the last Spiderman movie. But Michelle’s Catwoman will remain one of the most iconic comic character ever played in a movie. I even had a catwoman action figure of hers when I was a litlle boy!
