"Catwoman" is the story of shy, sensitive artist Patience Philips (Halle Berry), a woman who can't seem to stop apologizing for her own existence. She works as a graphic designer for Hedare Beauty, a mammoth cosmetics company on the verge of releasing a revolutionary anti-aging product. When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employer is hiding, she finds herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy. What happens next changes Patience forever.

Folks say it's bad CGI. It may not be the best CGI, but it is decent and works for the story. I don't mind it. It looks like a cat, acts like a cat, and that's all great. It moved with purpose and wasn't animated like a comic relief.

It wasn’t bad for what it was. It’s literally just a different Catwoman. There were multiple throughout generations and this was Patience Phillips’ story. Selina Kyle is a totally different Catwoman from a different generation. That’s how I interpreted it anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I enjoyed it, yes I grew up with the real cat woman villian. This was very much the hero version as DC didn't want to take a chance on their villians being villians yet. I saw it as a fun, playful film about women and power.

This scene will always be one of my favourite scenes in a superhero movie. I do not even mind that the cat's CGI wasn't all that great, it left quite a lasting impact on me as a kid and a forever lover of cats. I dunno about the rest of the movie, though. The musical score is fantastic here.

@@TreyDZd No because you see, a lot of people actually like this movie because we're able to separate it from the idea of Catwoman as one type of character. Also some of us like this movie because we like Halle Berry. The only reasons that I have heard for not liking this movie, are bandwagon arguments from DC comic nerds, or people who say the CGI wasn't good. Those are the only two arguments I have ever heard for this movie not being good, and only one of them has genuine merit. The CGI could have been done better, but we also have to remember this movie was made quite a while ago, so they're probably working with the best that they had at the time. So what exactly is your argument for not liking this movie? Because of it has anything to do with DC, you're a bandwagon person. That's all there is to it. If you can't separate this Catwoman from the DC Catwoman, then that's on you.

This Catwoman movie had so much potential if only it had better writting. She actually had powers and was more animal. So I enjoyed it a lot, wish they would have kept her world going. More character development and who knows if patience would train Selina Kyle as the new Cat woman. Hell I wonder how Batman would have been on this universe. A lot of potential back in the early 2000 wasted and forgotten

I never watched this whole film, so I won't say a lot. However, I am glad that it showed a backstory in how Patience Phillips became Catwoman. This is definitely not going to win an Oscar or Academy Award. I'm glad however, things were explained about her past, though. This was done well enough.

I like this interpretation of the character. A separate entity from Selina Kyle. A lot of people don’t know that Holly (Selina’s sister like figure that she takes care of) has also been Catwoman. I’d love to see Patience in the comics 💜
