The Giant of Cardiff, the Tasaday in Philipines Manuel Elizalde made a smart job making believe there was a "stone age" group of people 😮, Dr Cecil (don't remember his last name) lied to young parents who were desperated to have a baby by using his own semen 😮 and Gwyneth too
I thought that D J T may have made an appearance. Give it a few years and you will be able to remake this and the man will probably fill the top 3 or 4 spots.
Hi Mike, I have to say that the scammers in this video absolutely disgusts me and particularly the scam with the Covid 19 case! That said the video was a real eye opener and informative! I really enjoy your videos and keep up the good work Mike!🙏🏻👍🏻🤗! Px
What COVID 19 case? Speaking of which, assuming he didn't die, I wonder how many years they'd give the one traveler from Wuhan with COVID into the US (Seattle/TAC) for efficiently killing however many COVID killed🤔
So I have friends that knew the Barnum family personally. They say that P. T. was the kindest man you would ever meet. That most of the stories about him were just that, stories. There were a few newspapers back in the day that didn't like the acceptance and openness he represented by having so many people with "differences" in his employ. So they set forth to discredit him with stories in the newspapers using yellow journalism. Most of the time he didn't bother in defending himself because it just gave him free advertisement and sold tickets even if the stories weren't true. So knowing that, who were the real scammers? Barnum or the newspapers that wrote false stories about him? Sadly this practice of yellow journalism is still going today.
I'm actually related to p.t.barnum he's a cousin of my grandpa and I honestly believe that..and I don't think the comenter was being a jerk so maybe you can chill a bit too.. and before you call me a con nope barnums on our family tree .and he actually gave jobs to people in society that normally couldn't get jobs let alone cared about so its nice to know someone besides me knew he was a decent person to a point
i prevented my neighbor from buying $1'400 in gift cards back in 2018. she didn't believe me so i told her to ask her son about it before spending all that money. the next day she thanked me with a home cooked meal and a WHOLE homemade blueberry pie. she was told that she owed over $3'000 by the CRA, Canada Revenue Agency but she could get it taken care of for just $1'400 if she paid them that day.
12- I was curious to know if you were going to include the Eiffel tower being sold not once but twice as scrap metal. Before now, the guy who sold the tower was all I ever knew about it. I’m going to check out the other video once this one’s over…👍👍
A particularly vicious scam I heard of, was an investment firm was convincing their clients to take out mortgages to invest through them, giving them a hefty commission, and promising their clients a large return upon maturation.
So, he told a bigger lie to get out of the lie he told originally? That Abagnale guy is phenomenal. He's 75 years old and still making money off being FOS. Only in America......Jeeeze Louise!
I met the world's dumbest scammer on Facebook a few weeks ago. He was pretending to be a celebrity. He said he needed $1400 "to escape going to church".
University of the Rockies online college courses towards a Master's in Psychology. I was allegedly lied to about accreditation. There are many " for profit colleges" that are actually diploma mills.
I was scammed for a house. I put sown $5000 on a house that was ligit on the market for sale. Teick was it was not thier houae to sell. It was put up on fb market and that is how they intercepted the sell. Have not found them, but other scammers came out saying they can recover my money only to continue to take more with no results.
😂 Well, would u believe it....... but at this very exact second (I'm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire in the UK, 21:19 GMT, Monday 30th September 2024) I'm actually stuffin my face with a McFlurry, thats aftr I just peeled off my Monopoly Power Peel sticker! WooHoo! So in honour to List 25, is it a Coincidence, a Conspiracy (devices listening/tracking me), a Simulation or something far Creepier & Weird??? 😮
Have I ever fallen victim to a scam? Yeah actually I suppose so. I'm going to say it was 1983 or 1984. I was walking through my local town centre when a street 'chugger' approached me and gave me the full spiel about the necessity of donating to charity so that many poor souls could be saved. I was still in my late teens back then. So I suppose I was just bullied into feeling guilty and gave the guy £2. Of course I say 'bullied.' I was already a big ugly dude by that time. And already into football hooliganism. Even now at 59 I'm an intimidating sight with my shaved head still. Best £2 I ever spent. Back at home I took stock of my attitudes towards doofuses approaching me in the street and attempting to con me out of my hard earned beer money. For all that in this instance it was literally just a couple of pints of beer money. (only just about £2 for 2 pints of lager in '83 I'd say from long lost memory.) Never given a penny to charity since. And by that I don't mean never given money to those in need. I'd give my last £10 to a friend who I genuinely knew needed it. And often have over the years.
Awesome AWESOME documentary on the mcmillioms thing I believe on Netflix... All on a slightly curious hunch from one FBi agent. No one supposedly wanted to even look at the case, then one guy did and BOOM. HUGE. Which caused my wife and I to say, if any agents are watching or listening ( 😉 ), just take the case "no one" wants... ya never know how deep and tremendous it can be--- and where ur career could be afterwards 😅
Back in the 90s we got both board walk and park place... right? Park place..... guess what? The board was missing .. we tore the house apart and never found it.. guess it was thrown away
Someone REALLY needs to find out just to who or what the billions Nigerian scammers give or do with all they've stolen from lost lonely old folks mostly 😢😢
I think I read online (think it made the news) that years after Joyland in Wichita, Ks closed, there was someone going around collecting money to help restore the ran down park but after he got so much money, he ditched the idea and fleed
Two interesting things about jim baker he wrote a book Is titled. My biggest mistakes. I saw it at a St Vincent de Paul store for a dollar and nine cents and his first wife was on the Drew carey show
For the mcmillions you forgot that they only put the big prizes in certain locations and some employees found out and won but quit before cashing in and you had to buy all the biggest drinks and other high cost stuff to get the most tickets and made it easy at first to get most of them but not any food prizes i was always one away from everything but never got any food prizes
They say that the only people who fall for a scam are greedy people. But a few of these prove that isn't always true. I'd add desperate people to who can fall for a scam. Greedy and desperate people are the only people who can fall for a scam.
