Love this and would definitely love to hear what queer horror books you are excited to read next! Some of my favorites: Dread Nation, Strange Grace, Sawkill Girls, the Monstress comics. 🎃
Ive been absolutely sleeeping on your channel. What amazing recs and descriptions😍 can't wait to check some of these out! I was so suprised how good The Haunting of Jake Livingston is and that its YA!
I was happy to hear about some that I've read and loved and even happier to learn about some that I'd not heard of before and that have now been added to my TBR!
I’ve borrowed Silver Nitrate from my library and intend to read it this weekend! I’m a big scardey cat when it comes to scary things, but I’m excited to try something new (while reading in broad daylight 😅)
I would love a part 2! And I think you'd like the Dread Nation duology by Justina Ireland and Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant! Dread Nation takes place in an alternate history in which zombies rose during the Civil War and slavery was turned into forced conscription to fight the zombies. And Into the Drowining Deep is about a research team going to investigate what happened to a ship that was filming a mockumentary on mermaids and then mysteriously dissappeared
Queer horror is such an interesting category, but I just realised that, while the majority is on my tbr, I only read one of those :') It's a good reminder to pick up more, thanks for sharing this list with us 🐢✨️
Well I'm glad it was helpful in a roundabout way at least! 😂 And doing this inventory definitely made me think about all the queer horror I'd still love to read myself!
Have you read "Queer Little Nightmares"? I haven't read it yet and I haven't seen it reviewed anywhere yet. It was recommended to me mostly because the person liked the cover art 😂which is fair. Would love a part 2 if you are feeling it.
