For 30 plus years, there are some things we’ve come to expect with the Simpsons -- Bart’s chalkboard openers, the classic couch gags, Homer screaming out “D’oh”, and of course, their outfits. The simple outfits have been used on the show for years, but there are often times where creators like to mix things up a little bit and try out new wardrobes for our favorite Springfield residents. When Marge finds a passion -- she typically becomes obsessed with it. We’ve seen her be a police officer in the past as well as a meteorologist. However, one of her most dedicated passions may have been professional bodybuilding. She became so obsessed with building muscle that she pretty much ignored her family. Homer Simpson may be known for his signature white shirt and blue pants, but he may also be known as the Simpsons character who changes outfits more than anyone else. Just take for example, the episode “Colonel Homer”. When Homer discovers a country singer with a beautiful voice, he dresses to the nines to help get her career off the ground. “Who Shot Mr. Burns Part 1” is a classic Simpsons cliffhanger that people talking all summer and included a Butterfinger contest to nab the shooter! Well, in the build-up to the faithful bullet wound, we learn just how ruthless Mr. Burns is.
So let’s check out some of these outfits -- including a time where Marge wore almost nothing at all and Mr. Burns probably had PETA knocking on his door!
