right?? omg that makes me so mad. In the books, she's also the first person to "break his armor" (i think that's how it was phrased in the book?) and the first person he hugs. The fact that this could've been the story in the show as well but the writers screwed that up makes me so frustrated. They even gave Elena the scene where she kisses Damon and bonnie asks "how was it?" when that happened to bonnie herself in the books where Meredith asked her that. Sigh sry for the rant lol. They just get me so worked up lmfao
