Vegan triathlete with multiple Ironman's completed! I always got comments about how easily I could move around the day after the event! I seemed to recover much faster and easier than anyone else! Thank you WFPB diet!
Becoming vegan was the best decision I’ve ever made for animals, our planet and my health. I’m 55 and being vegan for the past four years and feeling way better than I did when in my 30s. I wake up early, workout for at least one hour and run several miles a week.
Thx for sharing. I’m a 58 year old vegan amateur athlete; playing soccer goalkeeper 4-6 times a week, depending on the time of the season and playing in an age division almost 20 years younger than my age. Been vegan for about 4 years and vegetarian for about 5 years before that.I’ve lost more than 50 pounds from my earlier peak weight of over 300 lbs and moving last month to vegan, whole foods omad (one meal a day) I hope to lose another 20 pounds over the coming couple or so years.
@@onthejourney3339 Bruce Lee was vegan. Tom Brady is Vegan and he is the best of the best. You get strong from lifting weights, training and exercising, not from eating meat. Plants is a food source that will supplement your strength not meat.
I just want to say thank you so much. In Ripped vegan athletes part 1, you mentioned the documentary "If slaughterhouses had glass walls everyone would be vegetarian" so I went and watched the documentary and I was horrified. I hadn't cried in 3 years before watching that, and I was totally balling my eyes out, sniffling and I was heartbroken. I promised myself after watching that doc, that I was gonna become vegetarian. I've been vegetarian for a week now (I know its not that long), but I feel much better! Thank you so much for mentioning that documentary
You're still supporting the slaughtering of animals! Dairy cows and egg laying hens all end up in the l slaughterhouses when they can't produce any more milk and eggs. Be vegan.
i was born vegetarian, and when i was 13 years i became vegan,i saw the pain in the calf and mother cow ,it was difficult because no one has supported me. Now i have a muscular body
Being vegan helps me supersede the demands and expectations of being in the Army for over 20 years. I’m in better shape and better health as a vegan than when I was a teenager.
My gosh, you haven't put on list the best tennis player ever Novak Djokovic, the ultimate sportsman that went vegan at 2011 and after that became unbeatable, Superman. It's unforgivable 👎
Meat eaters have bodies, brains and souls. Are you the stupid vegan who thinks that having a soul is tied to your dietary preference? In that case, vegans are also hypocritical, because their diet does contribute to animals dying, but in larger amounts.
Rich Roll I tend to like most of the group since he, like me, waited until the middle of life to make the change. Not sure if he was WFPB but I would assume so. I changed my diet at 48 and Rich did at 40. I had 8 more years of damage to my body. Will it matter? I wonder but the body is miracle of repair if we let it. I am 53 now and I believe a good deal of repair has already happened to my body. However, the final change in my life will be intensive exercise including cardio and strength training. My recovery so far during some high intensity training has been very good. No real pain after only single days of recovery from high intensity. I am building up cardio and I will be able to push myself a lot harder and potentially require more rest days, but I am very hopeful. I'm a different person, I have a rope through time back to my youth and I am pulling youth from the past towards me right now! I remember the youthful feelings. I get them more and more now!
Vegan is the right thing to do. So glad i was inspired to make the switch. Four weeks in and I feel great, satisfied, fuller than i ever did on fatty meats.
They already exist in the meat eating world. I guess when it is a meat eater, it is not so inspirational, because meat eating athletes are expected to perform well, right?
@Joe Matt No, plants are lacking where bioavailability matters. Meat is still the superior form of protein, iron, B12 that I need without all the oxalates.
Tour a slaughterhouse and a factory farm, then reply. And if you ever need antibiotics you will have problems due to all the antibiotics and toxins these factory farms add to the Animals.
Actually, quite a few people you have interviewed here are in The Game Changers movie. If you haven't watched it yet, I strongly recommend it particularly because it destroys the false belief that real men eat meat! Sports performance greatly increases on a plant based died! 🌿👍🌱👏😍🤗
Louis Gedo No, those children are born to abusive parents. So the diet is not killing those kids, those parents are. With veganism, it is the diet itself. Your checkmate can take a long walk off a short pier.
Is Chara vegan ...? “In September, shortly upon his return from Slovakia, Chara adopted a plant-based diet. He no longer eats beef, chicken, pork, or dairy, the usual go-to sources of fat and protein for an NHLer. He sometimes eats salmon and eggs, but has otherwise gone vegetarian: fruit, quinoa, brown rice, beans, chickpeas, lentils, salad, avocados, nuts, and seeds. Chara likes Sweetgreen. He is a regular Whole Foods shopper.” I’m happy he has adopted a mostly plant based diet ... but sadly I do not think he qualifies as vegan
Been plant based 4 months , and I know the difference between vegan and plant based, vegan still eats junk food like McDonald's french fries at over 600 calories per little packet. Plant-based can still eat meat and dairy like Dr McDougall still eat meat once a year, as a plant-based person we do not eat, cook or put oil even olive oil on our food sugar or salt, the vegans that I see are very fat and very unhealthy,...
I’m all for veganism. I’m on my own journey right now, but doesn’t anyone see the link between harming the planet and Lewis Hamilton’s sport that basically destroys the environment in so so many ways?! Seems hypocritical to me??
ive been vegan for 9 months now. just gotta supplement vitamin b12, thats all. i would say that you have to be more on top of your nutrition but thats everyone, not just vegans.
@@Ok-vj3dw mmm yeah me too honestly just a bowl a cereal with 1/4 cup of walnuts n you got all you need. Soy milks taste so good honestly I really wanna try fresh
LEWIS HAMILTON: Not ripped! Posts global issues about random stuff but actually does nothing about! Austin Aries: Not ripped again and WWE is a fake ass sport! Probably he has a fake ass diet as well! Allie: She is just skinny! Sarah Stewarts: Is not ripped, and does not look healthy! Rich Roll: He is just skinny not ripped! Patrick: He lived most of his life on meat then 1 year just decided to change it! Dotsie Bouche: She lloks anorexic to me! (I see a trend where veganism is only good for running!
it's not true for well educated vegans the film is boring. but for meat eaters it is full of wtf-moments. i guess you are a member of the first group ;)
It's so amazing when one finally finds joy in achieving something that's so important to human ,Dr Aluda you truly God sent, The herbs you sent to me work like magic am healthy now💖
Patrick Baboumian is not the norm in veganism. Oh. There are more meat eating athletes that are stronger than him. Unlike what most vegans believe, he is not the strongest man in the world.
