Looks great, thank you for sharing. There's one guy who did the same setting, except for the hi & low for the Esc..for the lowest position he had his throttle hold on, and then when went up to the highest position he then turn the hold off, think he turned it off before going to the high stick then pressed set button. Over all your video is very vivid and enjoyable to watch. Can't wait for my YGE esc & program card.
Thanks for the feedback! With regard to the throttle hold switch used for the setup...it's really the same thing, assuming his throttle hold is set to the same thing as his low throttle position. Some folks, however, have their low throttle at -100 and their throttle hold at -125 (not going to get into that) so if that's the case...then doing it with the TH, there could be some interesting results - possibly.
1. Move throttle stick to 100% (full forward) position, making sure you have no throttle curves set...you want the transmitter to be reporting full throttle. TH should be off. 2. Plug battery into ESC. 3. After you hear the solid beeping tones indicating you are in programming mode, move the throttle to full low position (0%). That sets the soft start feature. 4. You will hear some confirmation tones, and then you can remove power.
In order to program soft start with the transmitter alone, you would do the following. It is best to do this will the main gear disconnected from pinion on the motor, so that there is no chance for accidental blade spin-up. At a minimum, you could remove the blades to be safe. In reality, this process should not cause the motor to spin up.
yeah...its big! Did you see my videos 23 and 24? I ended up having to modify my build and order additional parts to account for its size! (of course, that was in lieu of a side mount)
No, I'll be the judge of that. You succeeded in posting another disrespectful comment, congratz. Show some respect to the video poster who took the time to share this with us all.
Hi EVERYTHING cpo, 1st can i say thanks alot for 4 great help, but i think i have a problems, on Special functions when i do STOP with my Throttle at zero and then press enter the tone is the same as yours but when it comes to doing FULL SPEED with my throttle 100 the tone is different as if there is something wrong, throttle hold on TX is off, any ideas why?? be very greatful for some advice. Regards Matt
On your transmitter, do you have a full linear throttle curve set? Make sure you are giving it the entire range (MAX). Not sure if that is your problem, but that was the first question that comes to mind.
Btw... Just to be clear, to change the direction of the motor, just swap any two of the three motor wires. Reversing the throttle channel does not address that. It only reverses your output, which may currently be set a full throttle when down, and low throttle when up. That could be why your motor is spinning after the esc and receiver initialize.
I mention this at about 16:45, but you may have missed it. It was pretty short. If you have less than 4 cells, it will automatically detect the number of cells. In other words, you don't need to select anything.
It was helpful. I have bl500mx motor and YEP 80A in trex500. Motor stops in hovering When move the throttle stick down half under. stick move high position motor begins to turn. And Motor output is too weak. The initial failure? Who let me know the setting. My programeming Options Motor timing: 18° PWM frequency: 12kHz Active free-wheeling : on Brake: off Cells: 6 Startup speed: Heli slow Brake: off
thanks for the very informative vid but it should have only been 10min long fast forward to 6:04 if you don't want to see or hear stuff like electrical taping motor wires lol
Hey cpo heli, I just ordered the YEP 45 for my EXI 450 and HK was out of the programming cards. Is it programmable by sticks? I've heard there are no instructions.
