In this video, I finally start getting to the mechanical setup on the heli with the swash leveling. Leveling the swash is a two-part process...first getting the links adjusted for level swash at the mid stick position, and then ensuring that the endpoints (high stick and low stick) are correct. Because I am using the Robird G31 FBL, my software adjustments are made there, rather than in the transmitter (since I have already calibrated my transmitter to the Robird). Also, the lesson here is that the closer you get to accurately setting your servo arms and equal adjustment of the link rods...then the less messing you will have to do to get the swash level at center stick.
If you are not using the Robird G31 FBL, then you'll need to figure out how to adjust the swash endpoints using your specific system. It's likely similar to how it works in the Robird.
If you are in fact using the Robird, when the pitch is all the way down, you'll want it to say -100 on the pitch position meter. Mine says -99 in the video, but that's because it's right on the edge of -100 with my transmitter. If I touch the stick in the down position, it bumps to -100, and it sorta flutters around between -99 and -100. I just wanted to point that out since it's not clear from the video. I may check it again to see if I can get it to sit at -100 without going to -101, but it's such a small variance, it may not make that much of a difference.
Anyway... hope this helps. I had to ask how to adjust the swash endpoints because it wasn't readily apparent to me how to do it in the software, and everything I found on the Internet told you how to adjust it on the transmitter -- which is incorrect if you are using the Robird. The Robird software takes over all those little adjustment tweaks!
