Same! I turned 18 in 2006; I used to use quite a few of these things! Especially Silly Bandz, Minesweeper(could almost never win at it, but it was kind of addictive lol), and AIM...! XD And think I first heard Crazy Frog back in the 2000's, too... lol Sure is a catchy tune; I still watch that from time to time! 😆
You think you're feeling existential dread? Wait until you realize that the "Remember When" is talking about things your grandchildren will remember. 👵😭🤣🤣🤣
11:01 I must say, the Crazy Frog is annoying, but catchy. It's a shame it disappeared, but I do have a t-shirt with him on the front saying, '''Crazy crazy nights, don't ever change me''' Bring him back I'd say
Napster came before Limewire, i remember those days of waiting hours, maybe even days, for a song to download only for it to be a crappy bootleg version, a virus or a completely different song... providing no one picked up the phone, of course. 😂
I was going to buy one of those Termagate . I gout the a very cool robot dog. It does a lot of things. It barks and eats by placing a little bowl next to it pretends to eat the food, it sleeps and get startled if you move too much. It barks loud enough to wake people up. It snore, it even poops. And it doesn’t have anything . It makes the noise. It opens and closes his eyes. I call for him and he comes. He knows the path around my house. I’m sorry I wrote so much about my robot dog. My real cats were a little skittish at first.
The silly bands were still around 5 to 7 years ago❣️ No. 4 My husband would spend an hour at Blockbuster.. Now by the time he chooses, he is 30 second from falling asleep. 🤫🤫🙃🙄
Oooh my poor grandma had so many viruses on her computer because of limewire. I'd spend hours downloading music. She'd have her Internet company come look at it every once in a while. They'd say "Sometimes viruses infect computers through kids websites since everyone has kids"
Mid 90's born, but grew up mostly during the early 2000s. I had a hit clip and always wanted Heelys, though never got a pair. Probably for the best though since I can barely walk without tripping. 🤣 I still love Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Either way, I played the guitar.
I still use a Zune, the third I've owned, for playing music in work. The battery is pretty fcuked so I don't travel with it, but still love it. When I was looking for a new mp3 player I used it as my guide towards what I wanted in a new one. A SURFANS player I picked up on Amazon fit the bill. The Creative Nomad 60gb was the first mp3 player I ever had. It was a brick, but was amazing while it lasted. Still have Minidisc player and a tape Walkman. I've never given up on records, tapes and CD's though. I'm that old haha.
I was a child at least until the middle of the 2000s, as someone born in 1992. Actually, Blockbuster was here until 2010. Myspace was used a lot from 2005 to 2010. Even the iPod has gone obsolete now. I would watch movies on the VHS. It's the last decade of usage of the phone book, landline phones a lot, payphones, a lot of toys and video rental stores. It was the golden era of search engines, when we had so much more than just Google for online searching. Search engines are about to go obsolete now. The cell phones were cool being flip phones with more to do in them. The decade of the 2000s fills me with nostalgia and I embrace the decade. Look how much technology has advanced in only two decades.
@list25 Napster was the go to source for downloading music & video Limewire came after Napster was taken to court & became a paid service. Napster was where all comedy songs were labeled as Weird Al due to people not knowing who the artist was when they uploaded the song. Limewire was good until you never knew which downloads viruses & they became more frequent. Then Kazaa replaced Limewire, several others popped up.
I had a skateboard . I was going down a Hugh hill .my friends and I would go down it and I could ride well. But I was going down the big hill one day and one of my front wheels hit a rock. Then went flying onto the pavement. I then hit a guard rail. I spent about two months in a coma. But I made it. I went through worse in the military.😊
Mike, I can't believe you left out the Numa Numa guy, the first YT vid I ever saw! That guy's vid was a huge hit for a good while, and I still watch it now and then for a good laugh! XD Plus, the 2000's was when YT made its debut on the internet! 😃
I worked at an independent video store and we had movie critic David Thomson, director Wayne Wang, and the multi-talented Robin Williams. We had a sterling reputation among the film cognoscenti of San Francisco.
Ah... Zune... Now I do recall one of my "bonus" kids having this thing and having to put the app on my pc... ... wow that was a long time ago. I also recall that I had a habit of taking all the CDs of any of the kids at my house and quickly zipping them onto my PC. I had and still have a huge amount of music on my PC. I shuffle that to and from my phone these days. I also remember my kids having the little pocket pets... and the hit clips... stupid as they were. Along with Pokemon cards... and the Nintendo game boys... I think I had like 4 of them at one point. But then I have still about 4 of the old nintendos in my closet along with I think 2 super nintendos... and some games... the game glove thing... some other accessories... and junk... that was a long while ago. I think my ex-husband and I purchased a Nintendo when it first came out and he got really ticked off at me all the time when I'd beat him terribly at Duck Hunt.
Actually Myspace still thrives, but it changed to an indi music socal network. Where indi bands share music to get sales. Keep up whoever writes this stuff
Hey Mike I got a question. I just watched your 25 facts about me on your okay thank you channel. You said you were no longer with list 25. But you’re still on here now.
My first thought at the end of this was, what are you going to do with the hundreds of Zune MP3 players that get sent to you? If I had one, I'd want to send it to you just to show support. :) About 2 years ago I learned how to take apart my iPod Nano (6th gen) to replace the worn out battery. It was both oddly simple and oddly complicated at the same time. Ironically, I used a youtube video to learn how. I still use that Nano for jogging or car rides, specifically when I don't want to hear ads or be looking at my phone every few minutes. The good old days. Sigh.
I loved Blockbuster ❤ I remember queuing outside my local branch for the midnight release of one of the Call of Duty games with my Dad on a school night ❤
Tamagotchis popularised the virtual pet genre. I think I might’ve had Dogz 3 b4 my tamagotchis tho. I was big on Petz 3, Petz 4, Petz 5, Nintendogs, Dogz (the game boy/nintendo games) and Catz (the game boy/nintendo games). Nintendogs is more well known, but I think the Japanese games Dogz and Catz came first…
I still use brb but not in the typed format. I usually say it aloud when stepping away from my game for a moment when in a discord call. Haven't heard g2g or gtg in awhile. Holy canolli I feel old
Tamagatchis gave rise to Digimon as Bandai wanted to gear a Tamagatchi towards boys & we got a great anime & games that followed the little handheld held Digivices which have been brought back like their counterparts.
I still have one of my iPod. I had two but the older one is gone. The one I still have has blue tooth . And up to 36 GBs, then the phones came out and I have a bunch on my iPhone and iPad. I sometimes use my iPod ro listen to my music or to watch a movie on and keep my phone battery charged
I’ve heard of some of these but not all, but my first social media was Facebook, I learned that on my own pretty much easy, I’ve never had MySpace, a few of my friends had it but I didn’t!!
My kids were the 2000's generation and had a few of the items As for mp3 players, i had the creative zen media player, played video too, i currently have a mechien media player
Most WalMart stores will send them off to be developed and printed. Or you can check for specialty places that still process and print film. It's still C-41 process for color film, I believe.
2000’s? I remember playing with all of these things (or wanting to but couldn’t for one reason or another) in the 90’s!!! That is NOT 2000’s my friend. Edited to add: Ok now we are getting into things that we’re actually from the early 2000s with the Zhu Zhu pets lol
@list25 Zune was a great mp3 player & did not break as easily as ipods did, Sony also brought back the Walkman in mp3 form & it was great too. Spent many a time seling mp3 players & having to fix those fragile ipods 😂
