As the Gate protects the house, a router is a Gateway to the LAN protecting it from public network harm thru ACL's(Standard/Extended Access Control List) and Firewall features or connecting a Firewall device to router. As a P.O. box is used to translate your Home Address, Private IP's are translated to Public IP's thru NAT -IT Poetry

Hey, great video, man! Right now I'm finishing my high school and next year going to start a double degree in Computer Engineering and Business Management. I love programming but also lately I got interested in networking. Do you think it is a good idea to pursue the CCNA during my first university year so that I can get better work experience (better internships, etc.) and just to learn more about this field? Thank you for the great content and keep up the good work!

Martin Kravchenko Man im jealous. I wish i could go back and learn again. Enjoy the process. Pracrical experience is critical, go for it. Use your summers to build your skillset and your people/business network. Go get that CCNA, build a PC, whatever. Plus like George dont neglect your soft skills. Writing speaking marketing are CRITICAL for engineering success. Good luck bro!
