Revisiting this video in 2024. I’ve used the Technical definition and the story telling method. Some interviewers don’t want you talking too much so you have to read the room and know when to expand on your answer. Interviews are very frustrating.
Where did I hear this before? Did this guy make one of these blueprint videos, or is this the original? Because he just keeps on selling his lies of a program that is a bootcamp
He is right, i have observed my senior teammate who is working past 3 three years as Service Desk, i am also working in same role past 8 months. I got morale from them not to stay long in that service desk position, need to set up, i am doing CCNA to change career as System or Network engineer or admin. 😊
I have a lot of basic knowledge concerning computers. I have 6 servers Apple, windows promotion. I'm working on learning kali and Ubuntu. Studying for my network+ certification. I passed for my a÷certification but that's a joke. I see your logic
But I would only be able to afford anything(even your 1-on-1 coaching) if I had an income that at least, used the CompTIA A+ certification I already have!! Which I got 20+ YEARS ago!! And I have been sitting on it because when I tried to get a job in 2003 when I got A+ certified, the people who were looking for someone to hire wanted experience and I JUST got the certification!! Making me a catch-22!! I'm pretty smart, even smarter than just fixing or building a computer, but the HISTORY of computers and MANY other things!!
This is absolute GOLD! Great work explaining this! I loved the opening where you explained how a trouble call comes in, help desk vs network engineers! That really set the tone and this who video really resonated with me!
That’s actually ridiculous advice. Best to work these entry level jobs starting out even if you have certs and formal education. Yes it sucks and they don’t always pay great, but you will have boots on the ground experience and have a wide variety of experiences with different environments.
@@yousefhussain9945 If you put in the work and get a few CCNPs it is cake. I work less than 40 hours, but the path to getting there was very very hard and stresful, but now its chill
Where are you at Jorge? I haven't seen any new videos. Did you pass your new exam? I have been at a Network Support Engineer position for about 1 year and a half. I need to reach the next level.
Working towards my CompTIA A+ certification but once I get that I’ll start at a help desk if I need to in order to get into the field. I don’t have a degree so that’s how it’s going to be.
Honestly good luck. I have A+ and a 2 year college diploma in computers and all I get is rejections. It's tough out there, I feel like I need to go get a comp sci degree and ccna just to get a $18/h helpdesk job
@@incongruous4 heck no. I’m going to see how this turns out with only getting certs and experience without a degree. I know IT is over saturated these days but I have to try, I can’t stand being a delivery driver anymore lol.
@@Noface678 I feel you. it's just not the best time to get into this field atm. You might be better off taking a skilled trade or a healthcare job. Both will destroy you physically over time though so it's a tough choice either way. However good news, I just today got an interview coming up on monday for a tech support assistant job so I guess it's still possible in this market. This is the only good news I've gotten in about 200 resumes sent out over the last month. I think the difference was that I emailed my resume and introduced myself instead of shooting my resume around everywhere on indeed and company job boards. Better to try to talk to a recruiter than just shooting off generic resumes everywhere and trying to let a resume with no experience do all the talking.
If anyone is watching from Canada - you will NEVER make it into USA without a college degree, make sure you go to College if you are Canadian and you want to work and live in USA.
