Improvising is hard. But actors still need to be able to pull of this difficult skill set. At any moment, they may need to react to an unexpected element in a scene. However, it can also be a tool of fun! Many actors love the thrill of devising dialogue on the spot. It can give them the opportunity to express some creative flair.
