Krypton Gaming Zo,bies creepers skeletons and maybe spiders are gonna acces your house if they want to kill you inside and creepers, yeah you don’t want that my charged creeper army to blow up my friends base backfired, it destroyed the quarter of my ice biome where my base is and destroyed and I have to replace it with packed ice and not ice because I don’t have enough. I finally removed all ice in it with packed ice because creepers keep on blowing up when I make farms or shops to sell stuff with my friends...

@Potato Boy I never really experienced making one... Tho the biome was quite small, it's not the one with dirt it's the ones with icebergs and ice only not land. So it was easy to destroy, plus the charged creepers did half a heart only!??!?!?!? Plus that was an army I was making so they back fired...

Another tip : take a screenshot of the coordinates of your base so the chances of you getting lost is significantly reduced

@@absolutechaos1135 yeah and you can put the book in an ender chest to always have it safe. Everytime you need to write something down it's going to be there with you in the chest or in your inventory, but if it's in your inventory you should be extra careful not to die haha

Actually its personal preference because some people dont want to spawn in a small island becuase they want to do some spawn chunks project .. and there are some people really like a survival island type of gameplay

Yeah same It's been 3 says since I started my world and I still haven't found a place to build my house yet I keep on camping and moving from bioms to bioms which I find that fun but also risky because I have good stuff with me like diamonds because while I camp I raid the nearest mineshaft and it's hard for me to save a checkpoint when I'm always jumping from one place to another i never sleep to make a checkpoint

Here's a good tip for ya When mining always put your torches to one side of the walls, then you'll never get lost anymore down there! I put mine on the left side, so when the torches are on the right I know I'm heading towards home/the exit to the mine; of course you can do it the other way around with putting them on the right, so left is going home, but I digress. I do it in strip mines too, because it's not fun getting turned around somehow and then running the wrong direction back to the main branch, or coming back into the main branch and having no clue if you're supposed to go left or right to leave lmao

This has saved me so much time and frustration. It's a simple yet extremely effective trick. Also use Redstone torches to signify the way out when you hit a big branchy area that'll have tons of torches going every which way. I put them on the right, as it's easier for me, but either way works so long as you're consistent. Also, use at least one block to signify a dead end branch so you don't waste your time checking the same empty branch (also helps against getting lost).

Pro tip: feed TNT with a flint and steel and they will become your friend and give you diamonds Also you need to use a lot of tnt in the same place or it probably won't work

Sounds stupid but I once created such a big storage system I actually created an Excel chart to locate specific items faster. I was months into it and had so much stuff I got three double chests PER ITEM, my warehouse was so big it reached the bedrock. And no auto sorting system, I did everything manually. Good times.

I found such an awesome seed, it has 2 dungeons above ground, a stronghold under the village right beside them, and another dungeon connected to it aswell as an abandoned mine! Haven't played in years so it's really nice.

I mostly agree with this, especially enabling fly or spawning items. But I do flash x-ray on real quick and then back off when I'm mining just so I can get my bearings about where lava is. I don't x-ray straight to diamonds or anything, and I feel okay about doing this. Nothing more though. (Slippery slope, I know.) :p

For the destroying trees bit: I personally always replant natural forests. A forest, if replanted, is a natural manual tree farm that can get you stacks upon stacks of wood. Also, it's convenient that I'm half technical, half pretty builder. Nice to be able to work with both technical and pretty players, or complement their builds.

I know this is late as all hell but I've been binge watching your videos like this and that tip about going into a random world in creative and exploring it first so you can figure out if you like it or not helped immensely. Today I found a world where you spawn in a jungle and then less than 2000 blocks away in the positive X direction there was a Mesa, Desert and Savannah biome all within sight distance of each other. Like you could stand in the desert and see them all right there. I love jungle and acacia wood for building stuff and having a Mesa there for terracotta which I also like using was amazing. Also found a ravine with a mineshaft at diamond level. Which I've never seen before. I think I found my perfect world and not to mention theres a massive plains biome with tons of room for me to build my own custom village which I've always wanted to do. Plus a lake with the perfect amount of room for the house design I came up with.

Same, I'd prefer to grow my own food than make an automatic chicken cooker thingamajig, but it is really helpful when you need large quantities of smth. For example, you wanna build something *REALLY BIG* out of stone, you don't wanna mine, what, 10, 20 shulker boxes of cobble, and then spend all that _time_ to smelt them, and turn it into bricks, you will have a lot of regrets... I speak from expirience, my buddies

The last tip is VERY true and relatable... My friend ALWAYS used to have good items on his realm, and everyone accused him of cheating, then he built amazing builds and got bored as he had everything he could want. Wasted time and effort. Maybe if I send him a clip he will see that it’s true...

Hey mumbo. In case you actually read this, I just wanted to say that I really like your new style of videos. They short funny clips in between longer clips is really great, and it makes you videos much more funny and great. Also an idea I’ve had is that you can build a skyscraper out on the sea or on that island that you need to put something on, and make the skyscraper really futuristic and have an amazing interior. The last one is a great tip, I also use cheat on my Minecraft world in the past and get the same experience like you. It became a creative world and lost the motivation of the essential of the survival game mode. Actually your first advice about the check the world in creative before you're playing it on survival is also a two-side thing, because exploring the world is also a fun and challengeful part of the survival gameplay. Btw, these are very useful tips for experienced Minecraft players to, thanks for sharing!

That first tip is way more important than people think! Except I use seed maps like chunkbase. I mostly just want a certain combo of biomes (like mountains next to plains close to spawn, jungle next to desert, etc. Most recently I wanted mountains next to plains and dark forest + mooshroom, jungle, and a mansion within 3k) I don't explore before committing to a world, but I explore a lot before picking my home base. It's gotta feel just right. Location is everything!

Yes, it makes everything do much easier and saves me time to go back and get/replace the items. If I fell in lava with diamonds I'd quit the world and restart rather than continue in that world. XD

I definitely see what Mumbo means about 'Don't cheat!'. I had a world where I couldn't find a Mansion (nearest was 15k away, it turned out), so I decided to use an online tool to find them. After doing so, I realized I totally missed out on the challenge of finding my first mansion, and it just wasn't the same after. When it later came to finding my first end city, I was 'older and wiser', and resisted the urge, and mostly recovered from the Mansion downer. BTW, I would add to the list 'Make a backup each time you make a major advancement in your world', not for the sake of recovering from a 'spoon' moment, but for those (now) rare cases when the world is corrupted due to a crash or other computer problems.

Yeah, man same here. I set up a little world and play it with some of my friends. I'm the only OP and idk how but some skeleton horses spawned so I cheated in some saddles because I didn't want to lose this opportunity. After that, I got mad at having to walk 2-6 minutes to get to everywhere in our little spawn area so I set up some command block teleportation systems... And now I just think about how much faster something would be if I cheated. It has completely taken the fun out of the game.

One of the highest value farms I have is a wood farm - I AFK it more than fishing! It grows a full tree almost every second and pistons them off to TNT, and can do every wood type except dark oak

I just turn on keep inventory. Because I hate losing all my stuff because I died. That's when u lose motivation. And I rarely cheat things in but when I do I toss them later when I get back to base. I usually do it when I'm working on a big project and realise I forgot something. Because running to and from my base 5 times in 10 minutes annoys me and makes me lose interest. Cheating actually keeps me motivated lol

The only reason I might have cheats enabled are 1. To set the weather to clear and time to day. I have a bed, but I don’t want to go travel to my far away base to only change it to morning, and 2. To put it to gamemode spectator for thumbnails and exploring.

Sad story by me (Who cares anyway?): So I've been working on this world I never really liked for about 1 1/2 years...and I have no idea why I kept up with it. Pretty soon, I had awesome equipment...such as horse armor, saddles, enchantment books, etc. from adventuring. Afterward, I decided to create a nether portal. I made the nether portal, went into the nether, and started exploring. I was dumb enough to have all of my important items (That I mentioned earlier) with me, but luckily for me, there weren't any hostile mobs around, so I gathered lots of resources. When I came back to the overworld, I thought "Hey! that wasn't bad at all, so why not go for round 2?" I went in to get some more stuff, and in my excitement, I ran off a ledge into the pool of lava. I respawned and checked for the items I lost, and they were obliterated...along with my diamond pickaxe :( 5 minutes later, I deleted that world. 1 1/2 years wasted because of my stupidity. Moral? Don't go around with important items on you.

I had enchanted tools, and found a minshaft. I got through a bit of it and decided to quit while I was ahead. I left and started through the cave that was connected to it, and started towards my mine which was connected to the cave. I saw a lava pool with lapis above it, and built over to start mining. I mined one piece and the A ZOMBIE KNOCKED ME INTO THE LAVA. I died, and spawned in the hearth of my mine. I found the cave and recovered the items that had landed on stone. THEN A SKELLY SHOT ME INTO THE LAVA AND I LOST ALL OF THE OTHER STUFF. The moral is a quote from a minecraft book. "Never put off the boring but important chores." (Like lighting up the cave)

Roses that happened to me! I was on the realm with my friends. I’m playing, doing something in the nether. I fall into lava. I had fire resistance potions in my inventory, but not on my hot bar. I was frantically trying to get it onto my hot bar but I died. Luckily, my friend (who owns the realm) was able to replace pretty much all of the stuff I lost. The next time, I was in the End with my hubby, building the Ender Ender. I accidentally aggro’ed an Ender man and he knocked me off the platform. Fell into the void and died. Next day, still working on the Ender Ender; I accidentally mined the block underneath me because my pick was eff. 5. Fell into the void and died. In total on that realm, I lost like 4 pickaxes. At the end of the Ender Ender project, I was so mad. I hate dealing with endermen. They always seem to aggro toward me for no reason (it’s true. My friends have been witness to it. They’re like “you didn’t even look at it. What the heck?!”) I died more than anyone working on that stupid endermen farm. I know your pain 🤣

I play on the PS4 and what I find relaxing for me is to start in peaceful and when I think I have enough to take on the mobs, put that world into hard and go for it ☺️. But that's how I like to play. I also like to build pretty things, hoard my items, and do helpful builds like the storage system.

Tip: gather some ink and make some book an quills, keep notes on how much resources you will spend on each project, then just sign the book and put it on an item frame close close to your building. It is so amazing to just be there in awe of your own dedication

You forget one very usefull tip, once you start the survival world for the first time, make sure to build your house in the exact place you spawn, or at least make a arrow with blocks on the floor to indicate the direction of your house. Why? Becasue once you craft *the compass* the red needle on it will indicate the direction of the spawn block. So that allows you to explore the whole map witouth getting lost (as long as you have the compass equipped).

That last tip is the most important. If you must, start with a mod that allows you to earn the cheat you want to use through gameplay. I suggest Silent’s Gems mod.

One day I wanted to show my dad the wonderful world of Minecraft I told him all about it so he sat down on the couch and played it with me we played on my survival world were I play to get trophies to unlock cool items for my character I went to the bathroom to do my business and when I came back he was on that survival wold but...... he was on the creative menu I tried to explain it to him but he said “well u needed some dimond blocks to build the beacon” OMG I Cried. Still a little mad at him though

I use commands sometimes in survival, but it’s really only for aesthetic things like banners and things that won’t affect gameplay much, like a lead. It’s never made me feel bad but I could understand why it might make someone else feel that way.

If you're playing on v1.14.1 I recommend the seed -167475599 there is a village and behind a hill near the snow biome there is a cave and if you go deep enough, you will discover an underground ravine with a mineshaft and a zombie spawner

Mumbo here's an explanation to why you lose modivation after you cheat: Human's always. crave. challenge. You may not believe me but im right. Humans always crave challenge because it gives them a sense of purpose and a state of being. even if you get everything handed to you, there's always that one little thing that would keep you working. Even Excersizing, if you go out for a hike and you say that you dont do it to challenge yourself, but to stay healthy, your wrong. if you either didnt need to stay healthy or you just wouldnt lose energy you would feel like the reward is too easy, it feels wrong. Same goes for minecraft. Even in creative, making a house requires dedication and hard work to make the building look nice. So that's why you cant cheat.

Tip - reuse items. If you build something but later on the use of it no longer exists, then mine the entire thing out. There could be valuable resources in there. Of course don’t do this with big builds. And also reuse gravel by continuously mining out one block. You will eventually get flint

great video. A word about your thoughts on cheating and why all motivation goes once you do. Its to do with the 'challenge > reward' cycle which is what drives us to do almost everything in our lives. We are programmed hunter-accumulators from way long ago, we experience dopamine explosions when we pile up something that's 'valuable'. Most games work to exploit that trait, it might be XP, better weapons to beat harder mobs, car upgrades to win harder races. Game psychology is very interesting, and people are paid stupid amounts of money to develop ideas that hit those 'reward centres'. anyway, love your vids.

9:55 I do something called "Build then Survival" or "Creative then Survival" where you build a house then switch to Survival and play it that way and I actually have more fun doing that then just regular survival I think it's because I have realms that I share with my friends and they always steal my diamonds or blow up my house but with Build then Survival I can prepare for attacks like those.
