I take the SCANIA S 580 to T. Nolan & Sons for a service and CVRT, and check out a bunch of new SCANIA's and show you around a 25 year old SCANIA 143H 450, could this be a restoration project for someone?

Them tank straps were notorious for breaking I once lost a diesel tank coming through ashbourne

Back in the day we used those 143 M , V8 with a b/double trailer tri/tri configuration at 26 meter long 63 ton gross weight . Hauling most days in extreme Australian heat and they actually handled the job extremely well .

Good morning Stavros. I have just got to the bit in your video where you are explaining about the auto hill hold. I work for a company in Glastonbury Somerset. I drive an S450 and my truck along with the rest of my bosses S series all have this absolutely fantastic feature on them. It’s the way to go. It’s brilliant in traffic and when you are pulling out of junctions.

Must have been very little diesel in the bottom of the tank to get the 143h going , could the rust cause damage or would the fuel filter save any hassle ?

I would have thought the old 143H 450 would be a shoe in to be restored with it being a single owner truck as, being as the owners have had it from new for 25 years then they've probably taken a lot more care of it than most 25 year old trucks with a cast of thousands of owners have had...
