Possible video idea: Makeshift GT1 race cars from the 90s, examples are: Nissan R390, Bugatti EB110 (possibly?), McLaren F1 GT, Ferrari F40 C, Jaguar XJ 220 TWR, Lamborghini Diablo GTR, Ferrari F50 GT, Porsche 911 Stassenversion. Not sure where to post ideas. PI 845-855
I love these races! An idea for next time, set a specific range (1500-2500, 1750-2750, 2000-3000, etc), and then put those two numbers into a random number picker. Let that pick a specific PI, and then have every team build to that. It could be a simple "Build to 1800", but then you could also amusingly get something like 1963 or 2222.
The RX3 was so bad to drive in the first two races, didn't know if it wanted to understeer or oversteer, was better at Spa after Brazen suggested a tune
if it's any consolation, I owned an RX3 for a couple of years way back in the '90s, made various modifications to it, swapped the 12a engine for a 13b, bridgeported it then did an EFI conversion and turbo. It became absolutely undriveable in the slightest amount of rain, slap-happy oversteer promoted by the turbo essentially "running away" with rpms as soon as it came on boost.

Would be interesting to see a team event with teams of 4 with cars of S,A,B,C and then each run 4 laps but the C class take off on lap one then B take off when c passes by so that they have to work through traffic and for one lap all cars will be racing at the same time
Have you ever thought about putting F1 style graphics on the bottom and right of the screen with positions, labels and a view of the map? Would be cool to look at
I wonder what would happen if instead of having one car per class, each team had a budget of say 2800 PI points to share between teammates however they want (i.e. 700 each, or some can be lower and others higher). Maybe the cars have to be stock.
Honestly what’s stopping somebody from building a PI spam X class car. Because the PI doesn’t go any higher but the car would certainly get faster and faster. Sure you would have to deal with 500 pi cars for the other class but I think the extra “gained” pi would counteract it
@@whitewolf8051it would kinda ruin the point of the video, why have the whole pi thing then ? It'd be a 25%-75% (depending on number of F1 cars) chance that 2 teams pick the same order for the F1 car and then 1 or both are out of contention and even if they didn't run together it'd mean 1 driver from a team has the majority of the effect on that teams finishing position
I personally think limiting it, something like only street cars or no race tires, could make it more interesting, and might make the teams that split PI evenly more competitive
