As a born again Christian I can say finding out about Hebrew words, things that are shared with me by messianic Jews, and researching the old testament has brought my spark back. I'm a Messianic Jew and just discovered your channel a little while ago and I love it! You have been such a blessing to me as a wife and mother. There is nothing more beautiful to me than Jews and Gentiles worshipping one God as one people. I am fortunate to be able to attend a large Messianic synagogue where Jews and Christians worship together. Many Christians today have unknowingly fallen to replacement theology through tradition and I'm always happy to see people returning to embrace the complete Bible, as was intended. Blessings to you and your family during this holy day season! Shana tova!

Amen! I love that you said, God is the God of details. Yes!! He has left nothing for us to guess. He has told us exactly, down to the details of how He wants us to worship Him. A lot of the time that gets flipped and people say, well this is how I worship Him. Between legalism and the “ME” culture it is sometimes heavy and lonely to worship God in spirit and truth. At the same time He draws us close and is all that we need.

☕️I am so thankful that you are talking about this. It has inspired me to look more deeply at the Holy Days. ❤ I wanted to ask how you would recommend going about practicing these days when our church doesn’t practice them and/or extended family. How do you navigate the Christmas type days within church or family gatherings? Along those lines, I’d like to know how others have (or would) handle this if they wanted to shift toward celebrating holy days if their husband is not on board? I’ve tried to teach the kids that I don’t believe participating in Halloween festivities is a God-honoring thing, but my husband doesn’t see the issue with the “fun” aspects like candy and dressing up for fun out handing out candy.

I agree that I've been led in this direction since my rebirth. My family is slowly coming around and we don't have it all together as far as how we celebrate it but we're trying to implement more things. It was important to God, why shouldn't it be important to us as his children and as you said we are grafted into that vine...we're adopted into the family....are we really not supposed to take in any of the things of the family?

I don't understand why everyone thinks that Torah observance is legalistic. You may find individuals in any group that think they can earn salvation, but in the Torah study groups that I have attended, nobody taught that. Believing that you SHOULD keep the commandments is not the same as salvation by works. When I went to a Baptist church, I was taught that Nazarenes and Pentecostals teach salvation by works. When i went to a Pentecostal church I was taught that Seventh Day Adventists teach salvation by works. All of my experience in these denominations (including Torah Observant / Hebrew Roots) teach salvation through Jesus. Every denomination teaches that there are some things we should or should not do ( at least, I hope they do). It seems like whenever anyone wants to obey any of God's commandments that aren't endorsed by the the man behind one's particular podium, they are accused of trying to save themselves. If I choose to obey God's laws, as recorded in the Bible, I don't have to worry about misinterpretation by a man in the pulpit. I am trying to be Torah observant. I realize I'm not perfect. I need a savior. Thank God, He sent Jesus to die in my place.
@HeavenlyMindedHome
@HeavenlyMindedHome 10 месяцев назад
Absolutely- and if you want to adhere to Torah law (whichever ones you choose to) then go for it! You certainly can. But to teach that as necessary is discarding a large portion of the completion of scripture. Hebrew roots gets into many heretical teachings... but I have seen some that choose to follow Torah that do so simply because they feel called to-- and many who do so feeling they must/it's what we're required to/it makes you a "better" Christian. And that's where we have to really reexamine. :)

Thanks so much for covering this topic! How do you decide which of the Biblical commands to observe? For example, why celebrate Passover but not keep kosher? (I don’t actually know if you keep kosher or not, just using it as an example.) I’m always very confused about which of the Biblical commands to keep as a Christian and I’m wondering how you make that distinction.

Hello! ❤ Love the merch except....Wondering if in the future could offer more merch that is 100% cotton or closer to. Polyester isn't good and rayon specifically disrupts the endochrine system and can make headaches and such worse. Also more colors would be cool. 🦋 Thank you! I also love this video. I've seen odd attacks on Christians partaking in Jewish traditions, and it never has any Biblical foundation. But beware they will try to spin it that way if you don't look into it yourself. I don't have "a church" yet besides just being part of THE church!❤ But I have started partaking from home (virtually) in a Messianic synagogue. They are very welcoming to Christians and legitimately have the same message as far as I've experienced. I also study Hebrew because I see it as beautiful, and helps me feel closer to Jesus, he was Hebrew afterall and rhe original texts were in Hebrew! 🕊️ I'd love to be proficient enough to read the word in Hebrew one day. Aware there might be various versions as with the english Bible....I compare many when I feel more intensely about a verse(s)- the WBMS is my fav. Since one of the oldest English translations. ❤

Great video. Personally, I found my understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ grew as I delved more deeply into and tried to understand the Jewish faith and it's history. The Gospel begins with the genealogy and understanding those characters and their part in our biblical history seems to me personally, a key tool, given to us in our Holy Bible so that we can better understand what Jesus is teaching us. More Jesus in our lives and finding more ways to hold God up as high as we can must surely, always be positive. Different strokes of the same brush, different things help different people.

We as Christian believers go after Paul. He was established especially for the Gentiles by God himself. Jesus Christ came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 15, 24. Those feasts were established for Jews. And has nothing to do with gentile believers. What did Paul and other Apostels decided what gentile believers should do. And this has nothing to do with substitution theology. The feasts aren't biblical, but Jewish they aren't meant for us and lots of things are satanic and legalistic. As soon as a Jew comes to Christ he is part of the bride and no longer a Jew spiritually, only physically. He is a Christian then. Please read the bible.

I get all the commercialism of His birth and death and resurrection but should we not keep and/or celebrate them along with Pentecost and Ascension days? Old and New Testaments both have very important events to remember that is one complete story. Can someone explain why Jesus's birth for example should not be celebrated with a feast and gathering of people and such? I was not raised catholic but we kept all five of these events in my family with a gathering of people and feasting. A few of these for three days each of keeping and celebrating.

Our first church put a large emphasis on the Jewish history so we learned a lot about all the biblical holidays. They would host Passover dinners and teach through the other ones throughout the year. We do have mezuzah’s on our doors, we put out a menorah during Hanukkah time, and when the kids were little, we did a Hanukkah night where we played the dreidel and read the story. They are grown now, but I still put it out and they play once in a while. As Christians, it is our history too. Although we also do all the other holidays as well. I do not think it’s a sin to celebrate them, however, if you were convicted not to celebrate them then you shouldn’t.

When you read the bible in context and understand the mysteries given to Paul that were hidden since the world began, you will understand that we are not grafted in. I used to believe this and then couldn’t understand why Paul completely contradicts what James and even Jesus says. He was preaching to us, the church (neither Jew nor gentile) in this dispensation of grace. We almost through our Paul’s epistles due to these contradictions until we prayed and God answered our prayer word for word the next day by a beautiful family who shared about the importance of rightly dividing the scriptures. Too much to unpack here, though check out David O’Steen and also Paul Lucas. There are no contradictions in the bible, just different gospels (good news) preached to different audiences ❤

@@ari3lz3pp Please read the content surrounding the word closet in Mathew 6:1-7 KJV IMO, we do not need an enclosed private space designated for prayer. That said, there's nothing wrong with praying privately in a personal space. *We can keep our prayers private (between us and God) anytime, anyplace our physical bodies may be located* . God knows our very thoughts. He knows when our thoughts are directed to and/or about Him. I don't have to open my mouth and utter a single sound, when I pray for the person in an ambulance that passes us on the highway. Yet, I can offer SINCERE prayers in public. Jesus, Daniel and Hannah, for example, prayed in public. The following explains it far better than I can. Quote: GotQuestions "Public prayer should be God-honoring, selfless, and based in a true desire to speak to God and not to men. If we can pray publicly without violating these principles, we do well to pray publicly. If, however, our conscience forbids it, there is nothing less effective about a prayer offered in secret."

I have to say that, as I have learned more about my great great grandfather who was full Jewish from Germany (he left to avoid persecution). I learned and continue to learn about all of things of his faith. So I, as a Christ follower, a Christian , have a mezuzah on my doors that I go in and out. I absolutely love them and it truly makes me think of my belief that I will take God with me as I go and as I enter and that this is Gods house-He has blessed us to live here. Something that I have read a few times lately is that Jesus never celebrated Christmas-He celebrated the Jewish Holy days. So when you think of it that way, making it out to be this is “Jewish” or this is “Christian” that some do isn’t the best way to look at it. Have a blessed day-and thanks for sharing all of this!
