I say make another pumpkin! Do the top with the flowers so that it will match the bottom of the one and for the bottom use the same color changing powder in the lid to paint the creases of the pumpkin and match it with the clear lid 😊 thanks for trying new things! We all learn from it!
Even with the color bleed from the plants, its beautiful 😍 you can make another lid to match ❤ and i love stuffing my molds with lots of flowers 💐 all of your work is amazing!
I am learning how to level up my resin Art. I have been able to utilize techniques that enhance. Michelle, I am happy to be a part of your journey through video.
I usually put a light coat of glue or urethane on fake leaves and the dye won't bleed into the resin It would be nice to see another pumpkin. Thanks for sharing
I think I would make another lid with the same flowers and leaves. Its not a failure. Thank you for sharing your disappointments with us. It makes it real. 👍☺️🇬🇧
yes, I would like you to do the pumpkin thnks for giving good ideas. like your chanel because you are a good teacher... and you and your husband are funny it makes me smile 😃
Hi Michelle ❤ omg just beautiful as always ❤ Omg y’all are always so funny ! Love watching You and Mr Glitz ! It’s okay if it’s off , it’s a tryout and it’s still beautiful !! Ty for sharing
Yes!!! PLEASE DO ANOTHER PUMPKIN 🎃!!! I love them! I got a bag of potpourri from Dollar Tree 🌲 and used it in mine! I love it!! Yours was close!!! Fun Video ❤❤❤❤❤❤
yes make another pumpkin and hey the glitter didn't let you down and you could use the lid on the new pumpkin!! how about some flowers that you bought from Temu? I think that would be pretty. Thank you Michelle for showing us how it turned out. And Mr Glitzenator Thank you for helping Michelle with the demolding! 🤗💕💙
Yes please, do another pumpkin! I would spray flowers with Mod Podge &/or UV resin if my flower dye has previously run, it depends where I get them from. Here in the UK you can buy a spray made specifically for maintaining the colour of artificial flowers, but I’m yet to try it in resin. I would also do a mould like yours with flowers in 2 layers to stop the from floating up & creating more bubbles… and hours of endless babysitting 😊
Its pretty, just make another one and put so of the flowers in the lid and make another clear bottom. That way you will have matching sets. You can brush the chameleon powder on every other rib of the pumpkin. Good luck.❤❤
I agree with the glitzinator it's a great target try making another bottom to go with the top use the camelian powder in the creases of the pumpkin and then fill with clear and the Crystal's
I suggest you do another floral pumpkin and use a lot more flowers. Chuck it all in as Claire of Claire’s Crafty Corner would say. Sometimes less is just less. I’m impressed with that resin. Very few visible bubbles. Those chameleon powders are incredible. 😊
Pumpkin was pretty looks like the leaves is what leaked based on the color. Do another pumpkin only use clear with your special glitter & do the stem the same. That would look amazing
It’s beautiful. I would do another one with chameleon powder on the ribs and add clear with your special glitter to match the lid and for the lid I would add a tiny bit of ink to match this pumpkin. If you can get the right color. 😊
Maybe dip your flowers beforehand in UV resin and cure them and then stick them down in the pumpkin. That would keep them from bleeding . Definitely a thin resin so they are not too fat to put down in there.
Maybe if you sprayed the flowers with a polyurethane high gloss spray to seal in the color before putting into resin the color won't run. Or coat the flowers with UV resin and cure first. I'm new to resin but crafted as long as I can remember and I'm almost 80. Good luck, it's worth a try.😊
I saw Steve MacDonald UV Resin his flowers before adding to molds/resin to prevent air pockets/bubbles and floating. Maybe try adhering flowers to a popsicle stick first to get them to position up and down? I love glitter in all projects!!! So I absolutely love all of your (& Don's) project videos!❤ i live the pumpkin and even the color it turned out, maybe you could add a light dusting of color to the bottom of lid with UV Resin?
Maybe a faster setting resin? 🤔 Oh and the comment "Mr. Glitz" said cracked me and hubby up 😅 "Bring it to the range tomorrow... we'll shoot it" Love the optimism 😂
To 'fix' this one, spray paint the *bottom* of the lid lightly in a matching tan/dun color. The clear lid will carry the color through and improve the color matching. Because it's the inside of the container, the paint won't need to be durable, nor overcoated. Although I think it looks fine as-is.
For the next halloween, U should use cinnamon sticks glitter in the pumpkin! Or maybe that glitter/clear and then half with like orange mica and pour them alternately? I want to try that myself! ❤❤✌👍
Could you pour just a little translucent green, brown or something on the underside of the lid to make it match better? I actually like it and hope you try another pumpkin!
The same exact thing happened to me with my cupped hands! I was kind of shocked because I thought I’d get a nice clear color showing off the dried flowers and nope, it was more of a light green. Like I said, exactly like yours. Because it was one piece, and not two, I just said “oh well” and now it’s on my bed table holding, well. Stuff. LOL. I know now to spray any dried flowers ahead of time to lock in the color. Now that I finally done pulling up rugs and laying down floors, I’ll be able to get back to expimenting. First thing? I try again. With the pumpkin I ordered after watching the last one you did, LOL. Maybe you could remake the top with dried flowers so that it looks the same?
It's still real pretty! Maybe not what you were expecting, but I like it!👍I'll bet there's a lot of (cheap) dye (no offense) on the flowers from Hobby Lobby probably. I still think it's very pretty and fall'ish. 🫶 (Maybe give the flowers a spray of that clear acrylic sealer you use on the home printed water slides or stickers before use to prevent the colors from running???)
I wonder if they dyed the flowers and some of the color came off in the resin. Still, I think it’s pretty, but agree with you that the top doesn’t match the bottom. Maybe make a new lid to match it (with some of the plants) and a new bottom section to match the clear lid, then swap.
I think it is hard for the flowers and leaves to stay in the correct position. I know what you are saying about the color BUT if you put the lid on and step away from it you can see how close the stem matches the color of the pumpkin!! Thanks for being brave enough to try that!! Another thing I was thinking of if you could remove the petals from that white flower and just put them on the bottom that might work!
I was wondering if you kept the stems long and folded them over that they wouldn’t move while you’re waiting for them to set. Sorry that your flowers bled I would make some thing with the clear bottom to go with that beautiful top don’t give up I know you’re a fall girl FALL.
Hi Michelle, I'm Jenn. I love watching your videos. I was wondering if maybe you could resin some fall leaves? I don't know how to do that, whether the leaves are dried with silica gel or if ironing with wax paper is enough.
How can I stop my uv resin being soft in side wen the out side is hard 2 of them was like that when I took them out the mould I put them 5 mins under the lamp but the rest was ok Mr glitter makes me laugh love ur work
That's disappointing! I loved the flowers you used; they were perfect. I wonder if the dye on the flowers leaked. I was also thinking maybe you could dust the bottom of the mold with the same mica powder as the stem so the bottom isn't completely clear.
I would love to buy some of the things that you bake, but I don’t know where to go to purchase them. I don’t live in your area sweetheart. Please let me know. Thank you.
Everything I make is now on eBay here’s a link to the store:www.ebay.com/str/glitznglitterbymichelle?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=acjoyi8kqw-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=acjoyi8kqw-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I do have a question though... What actually happens when it flash cures? Is there a video you recommend showing what a flash cure looks like? Or what exactly happens? I'm just very curious I'm new at all this.
I don’t have a video but you’ll definitely know when it happens. It will cure in a matter of seconds and minutes, gets sooooo hot and will look like it boils over and will cure that way.
Sorry, it did that. Seal the flowers, should help. I even seal my dried flowers because some of them tend to go transparent depending on what they are. And maybe do it using a fast cure, fill part way so you can control the flowers better, at about 1.5 hours fill it the remainder? I think somebody create monster with that awesome glitter. 😂
Now, Michelle, I am not qualified to say what I think might work for the stems falling over, butttt….. What about if you leave the stems longer on each one and after you pour the resin in, use the longer stems to adjust them, etc. Then cut the stems! That may be a totally stupid thing to suggest. All of you experienced resiners can tell me now! 😅 The color is another story. They do make beautiful artificial stems though! One good thing, I can’t hear you all laughing at me! I’ll laugh at me self after I read your comments on how none of this would work! 😅 If you can’t tell, I am NOT experienced! Thank you.
"Bring it to the range tomorrow, we'll shoot it!" Such a dude thing to say, lol Just coat it with a nice alcohol ink, and spray a nice sealant on it, or use some U.V. resin. It'll be fine.
