That’s beautiful 😍 i love it!! I’m so happy you did this video cuz I hatr using contact paper too and ive wanted to make something like this and i had no idea how i was going to do it! Thank you!!!
Hi Gina😊 I’m been trying to do some painting & I’m new at this but, I was wondering how would I do this with 2 canvases ? On 1 I have the face like you did but, then I want the hair to extend to another canvas as well. I see you pour white right at the front of the paint you put down so how would I do the next canvas ? I always try big first &why I don’t know lol but,I hope to hear back from you. Love your ideas 👍🌟😊
I love this, Gina! Everything about it is gorgeous. I really liked your process, too. I think I could do transfer paper easier than contact paper. I’ll just have to slow down and be a bit more detailed. 😁😁😁. What was the consistency of the paint you swiped? Not the white, but the colors. I’m trying to do a good swipe since I new to all this. I’m getting better, but I think knowing the consistency you used will be helpful! Thank you!!
Beautiful! I would have chosen a bit lighter color on the right, it is too heavy. Also the swipe could be in a curve rather than straight to mimic hair locks. JMO. Thanks.
I love this, I’ve been thinking of doing one but had no idea where to start, then along came your painting right on time Thank you Gina, it’s fabulous ❤️
I have seen something similar in the past...but this is the first time I really wanted to do it...I have a friend who was too good for this earth and she passed over a few years ago. She had long blonde flowing hair ...she was a beauty and I have a few profile shots of her. I am going to try to do this for her daughter to have.
Yay! I'm not the only one that traces out designs sometimes!🤓💕 I love this! I think I might try this in pride colors in the hair for a friends b-day present. Great tutorial!!! Thank you💕💖💕💖💕💖💕
Absolutely gorgeous Gina! Love that profile. I'm sure you know but you can use your nail polish to paint the back of cabachons with your nail polish or drop it in a container of water to then dunk things in to cover them in real cool patterns. Your music is so amazing! Love Better than Chocolate. You have an amazing voice! 😀💜🐨🤗
This silhouette is stunning Gina! What is the paint to pm ratio for this piece? I know you mentioned that you like the swipe paint to be thicker. Thank you for sharing.
This is exactly how I do my ocean and I use the damp paper towels works great I also do the beach and have thw white wave s go on the beach..I am going to add copper to my next ocean.. Beautiful 💗
I’m new to pour art and am having a lot of trouble with the swipe technique. You made it looks SOOOOOOO easy! I’ve never seen anybody use a wet paper towel before. I have been trying all kinds of things but, usually end up taking it down to the canvas in places because I am not smooth but...thisssss... actually looks do able.😉 Thanks Gina and I’m so glad I found you here! I subscribed! 🤗🎉
I might try using freezer paper and warm pressing it on the canvas to preserve the negative space. It should stick well enough and peel off easily when it’s time.
I like Josie, have been wanting to do this for a long time and I have watched several other artists, however, I find that your method and technique is the one I believe I will use. It has certainly inspired and I can't draw...but I can trace. Thank you, Gina!🥰❤❤
Yes! No stress of the sticky, floppy, drive you batty paper. Although, when I do try this, I may make use of some rubber cement. Turned out so pretty! Thank you again, Gina.
Hi wow that is sooooo gorgeous.. the colors together are amazing. I love that art minds color too. I'm going to have to buy a bunch b4 they get rid of them lol I'm going to try that.. thanku for sharing with us!! you are just full of talents. 🤗🤗 Merry Christmas.
I don't have any experience with the contact paper, so I was not sure how I was going to do it without the contact paper. I suck at stencils as well. This is exactly what I needed to see. Thank you! ☺️
Im a beginner. This is outstanding! I did buy your box of cards. I’ve done all the simple pours, swipes, flip cup, etc., but it will take many practices to accomplish this level, if ever. I’m about to go to your website and check out your webpage.
Gina, I have to admit, I’m a total guys girl, but I just love your personality, easy going, fun, talented, ENCOURAGING, man girl, you just have it all! If I lived by you I would totally make your shows! You have very talented musicians and your voice is beautiful! God Bless!
Received your Fluid Art Cards today and found this! I took profile photos of my grandchildren quite awhile go but couldn’t get up the nerve to try this. You have definitely inspired me😊. Thank you so much. Your cards are so helpful and fun to look at!
This is really beautiful.... I haven't done any flow art/paint pouring before but now I think I might like to try one. When you spray the paper towel, what are you using for that?
That's beautiful! Have you looked into the metallic colors by Color Shift. I have a jar of metallic by Color Shift that is not the same color but similar in color to the mysterious that you like. It's called blue flash.
Thanks for the tutorial Gina. I'm just waiting for my order to be filled at the art supply store. I really want to make this one in the next 5 canvass I do. I like your idea of outlining the silhouette on top of the primed spot. O was thinking maybe I will tape some paper to the wall, and set up a directional lamp. Sit in a chair and get my husband to out line my silhouette on the paper. That way I'm making the painting with my own features. I wonder what that would look like. I can always change my mind and find one out of a magazine or something. Unless I come up with another brain storm in the mean time. Thanks a bunch. love from Texas.
I am over the hill with this technique. I spent hours hunting for the ArtMinds Mysterious. I hope you do come up with a substitute for this wonderful color.
Interesting Gina! I had recently done a swipe which turned out looking like a mans head (the swipe itself) and the paint colors inside the head look like a brain!!! I was quite entertained by it. I will try this, but I think I will make the hairline closer to the head. There is something in my "Hairstylist" mind that wants that to be more accurate. It looks gorge though. hugs. God bless you'all this Christmas!
@@GinaDeLuca OH no nono, young lady! I HAVE seen your fabulous hairstyle! I absolutely love it and my specialty up-do's- the higher to God the better! haha. The color is great too. No, I was just letting you know how you do you and I do me. Both are good-no negative judgements coming atcha-ever!
Depends on the way they make the paints. Painters use all kinds of things to do the silicone effect. For the time being I'll be using it when I want cell's.
