About the series:
Srimad Bhagavatha is one of the 18 puranas composed by Sage Krishna Dwaipayana who is popularly known as Veda Vyasa.
As the saying goes "ವಿದ್ಯಾವತಾಂ ಭಾಗವತೇ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ" (meaning a learned person's knowledge and grasp of the shastras can be tested by his interpretation of Bhagavatha), it requires a person with mastery over the language, full knowledge of shastras with deep insights into psychology and philosophical aspects and all this backed by oratory skills to communicate the esoteric knowledge to common man.
