Double acting, it just makes the entire mechanism a bit more robust and we also ran out of single acting solenoids.

Yes, 1 double action piston that opens and closes it. It is designed to make intaking more consistent and prevents discs from bouncing out when driving over the barrier.

We have a motor share between the catapult and the intake, so its two motor cata one way and intake the other way
