Great bot! Now that the seasons over, would you consider releasing the CAD of this bot (if you have one), maybe to the Purdue Sigbots Wiki Hall of Fame? I think this could be a really good bot for new teams to study. Anyway, thx for the explanation.
we don't actually have a full CAD of the bot😅our build process is somewhat a combo of CAD and trial&error. But that's what this explanation is for (hopefully it helps)!
Thanks! Yes, we did use some force simulation - the key to "automatic locking" is making sure that the resultant diagonal force between the gear and the rack lies below the 12T pinion's center of rotation :)
