With this week's release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, I decided to take a look back at some of the disturbing aspects of the series. From weird and creepy Pokédex entries to unsettling theories, haunted locations and just plain scary events; these are some of the creepiest things to have happened in Pokémon.
Some of your favorites like Drowzee, Gengar, Espurr and Mimikyu may have much more sinister descriptions than you thought.

I read a Pokemon book it's about cubone. When Cubone looks at a full moon, it often sees an image of its lost mother. It's tears leave stains on the skull it wears. Now that's just sad

Either it's Hallucinating in it's Grief or it's Mother's Skull has Powers of it's own, Possibly a Piece of Her Spirit to ensure it's offspring's Survival. Which is more depressing since Mandibuzz are attracted by the Cubone Crying and Prey on it if it can't drive them off

Creepy stuff in non-horror is amazing to me. It's the absolutely most effective and it is the type of stuff that really sticks with me. I really hope to see more of it from you (I'm new to your channel but fell in love after your IT stuff on the 2018 movie) I have been looking for some fun, creepy horror stuff on RU-vid for awhile and your channel is just awesome.

"By the evil darkrai" Okay, correction: Darkrai is not actually evil, it can't control it's powers and means no harm. Usually, it would only use it's unstable powers in the unlikely case that it was in danger. The reason I say unlikely is because the pitch black Pokémon actually isolates itself for the safety of others

Im gonna tell you something about Blue's raticate. Remember when in the pokemon origins Blue said that he "created" a perfect pokemon team? He knew that Raticate is really weak so he replaced it with Arcanine, and then with a Rhydon. So apparently its in Blue's PC, but it was in it too long, so its probably dead. We could make that raticate faint and he didnt want to heal it so he sended it to the PC, and it died.. and after some time ago Blue opened up his pokemon box, and... he saw his Raticate dead, and he took it to the pokemon tower to put it in its final place to rest..

The story goes that since Blue was on the SS Anne he couldn't get back to the Pokemon center in time to heal it.

Gameee The minecraft player Red died because of that fact. Well kind of. When Red defeated Blue Professor Oak scolded him for defeating and dethroning (including killing the Raticate) his grandson (Blue) and everyone agreed with prof. Oak. Even his mom agreed. Then Red became very emotionally unstable and left to Mount Silver and eventually froze. Idk if this is true. It could just be a theory. I saw this story on a website somewhere.

Actually, you do meet her again, in the hotel in Lumiose ( Richissme? Or smth ) on the... 2nd floor? Or fourth damn it's been forever since I played. But she tells you to shush cuz she's listening for the elevator. I think there's a theory that says they're actually different people, and if you go to ... The second? Backboard in lumiose station it's got some weird random writing and something about the girl in the hotel is waiting for the ghost girl I dunno something to look into if you do a part 2. I haven't read about it in a while, sorry about that.

There are at least 300 people thinking right now this second “I wish Pokémon existed so I could have a cute cuddly eevee as a pet!” Yeah you get your fave Pokémon as a pet but also, At any time a Gyrados could go on a rampage and destroy a whole country, the world could end because mewtwo was having a bad day or kids could start disappearing randomly thanks to the handy work of Drifloon. And I love Lavender Towns music but like, the story is terrifying!

The song doesn't say it Kills them, just that they'll stay with the Hypno Forever. That will kill them as it probably won't feed or water them so they'll die of Hunger or Thirst

The Blue's Raticate theory was actually covered by Matpat on Game Theory, but also by Pokemon RU-vidr theAuraGuardian, and he stated that, yes, Raticate did die, it wasn't because of it's battle injuries. As far as the ghost girl in Lumiose City, if you go to the hotel where Malva is staying, and go to the second floor, you'll find the ghost girl in one of the hotel rooms, where she mentions that she needs to be able to hear the elevator, because she's waiting for someone. If you go to Lumiose Station, you can find a board at the back of the station, and the back of the board says something about someone being in trouble, and going to get help. Maybe the ghost girl is the one who the message was meant for.

I've actually altered my Player Character in Pokèmon Shield to have long dark gray hair and red eyes, and I've given him my real life outfit, to essentially create an older, dead version of myself. My team is a Gigantimax Inteleon, a Dubwool, a Boltund, an Obstagoon, a Gigantimax Amped Formè Toxtricity and a Gigantimax Shiny Duraludon. (I had to Pokè-Hunt those for over a month) YES, I'm trying to create a REAL Cursed Pokèmon Game by possessing the Cartridge when I die. Is it crazy? Yes. Am I gonna follow through with the plan? YES.

I think mimikyu is actually cool it even wants to keep the people alive by gettin none to look at it. It's so weird but seems less evil than the others heck vulpix is scarier. But it seems creepy in it's own way.

Blue did not lose Raticate. There is a pokemon center in the city containing the ss anne. There was access to a pokemon center.

I guess I can’t fault you too much for calling Beedrill a “poisonous” bug when it’s poison type and Game Freak habitually messes up terminology with moves like Poison Sting and Venom Drench, but these names are also inaccurate, as it should be called venomous. Injecting the toxin via stinger, fangs, etc is venom, while ingesting a toxin would be poison.

On that note, Beedrill is more of a wasp despite its name, and Vespiquen is more of a bee when Vespidae are wasps. Idk why Pokemon love to get these sorts of things confused/backwards.

All ik is the part lavender town, the haunted house that the girl wanted to summon Cresselia but failed and the Mimikyu, I have a story how Mimikyu disguise as a Mimikyu but its kinda weird- Ehm, like this.. Arceus made the 1st Mimikyu and it looked horrible, Mimikyu tried to make friends but everyone hated and scared of it, thats why it maked a Pikachu, popular and cheerful pokemon, whenever it sees a Pikachu, it will hate it cuz Mimikyu thinks that itself should be popular and cheerful than other Pikachus or Mimikyu just think there should be just 1 Pikachu lol- Yeah kinda sound odd but ok
