Awesome! Thank you for the video! liked, and subbed I just got a 240z- so am i right in assuming the strut towers dont need to have the tops cut off, requiring you to weld on a plate for future coilovers? The BC coilovers you have fit the 3-hole just fine?
That is correct. They fit right up. No welding necessary. I did the extra cutting to make it easier for camber adjustments. Otherwise you would have to lower the struts to get access.
Dude- and you respond quickly! you and the videos are awesome. The whole process is documented - seriously what a great resource- thank you again! Also, the wheel-well and inside of the strut tower were just cleaned up with a wire brush or whatever - then hit with 3M underbody spray?
G Delg Appreciate it! It’ll be be cool to look back and have the whole process documented. I used a wire wheel and some por 15 on the inside of the strut towers and in the wheels wells. Some 3m spray would do the trick to, that’s just what I had on hand. Glad your enjoying the vids. Thanks for watching and the support! You guys motivate me to keep at it!
@@tallnrough68 definitely no peeling on the por. I would recommend top coating it for long term protection. As far as the coilovers, I have put less then 200 miles on them, so I would say they have a lot of life left.
What size rims and tires are you running,,,??? Im running 15x8 0 -offset,,,,,,I'm going to buy these coils and I was wondering if the extreme bc would be a better choice,,,
The rims are 16-8.25 0 offset. If you go extreme low you will have to get adjustable LCA’s as well to allow for the additional camber. 2” is about as low as you can go otherwise with the camber adjustments maxed out.
The calipers are for a 84-85 Toyota 4Runner and 79-85 Toyota Pickup. They fit perfectly on the Z. You will have to cut the dust shield a little so they fit or you can go without (probably my plan). Otherwise they bolt right up with no extra fabrication.
