I bought this model with the minn Kota trolling motor.Just got mine in today! Fast shipping , put it together in about 20 minutes. Looks and feels awesome. Has built in ruler on side nice touch 🤙! Will be hitting the Housy in CT for stripers and here In RI on the tidal rivers. Can’t freaking wait 🎣🎣🎣
Okay I just had to straight up drill new holes over the existing ones to get the t nuts in, I was hammering them hard and they didn’t budge. Now, how does that frickin floor fit in? Half inflated, fully inflated, not inflated… I cannot even begin to get the board to fit under the rails… haaaaalp!!
Hello Rebecca, we are so sorry for the inconvenience. We're looking into your floorboard issue right away. To install the wooden floorboard you just need enough air in the chambers to lift them up, away, and off the floor. However, you still want the hull to be pliable when installing the wooden floorboard so it's not fighting against you. If you should have any further issues please feel free to contact our customer service at 1-800-748-8066 or via email to Staff@SeaEagle.com
Putting together new boat. What side floor board is facing sky (rough or smooth. Also Having issues with T connectors to attach seat side. The Connectors do not recess into floor board, do I have to drill, hammer to force them to fit into fllorboard?
@@MuhName OK Floor rough side up (non slip finish) Holes for seat mount are smaller because they put a finish on the floor board. Use a file to open enough to fit the tee screw.
I put the smooth side facing up and hammered them in lol. I spent a good half an hour trying to push them in with my hands (he makes it look like that's what he does) but he actually cuts that part out. I assumed the nice finished side was the side to stand on but I guess it makes sense to stand on the rougher side. The smooth side probably slides into place easier as well but oh well, got mine 2 years ago and haven't had any problems.
We ship worldwide from SeaEagle.com or you can reach out to our international sales manager Navneet at Navneet@SeaEagle.com. Thank you for your interest and big thanks for watching! We hope you've subscribed to the Sea Eagle RU-vid Channel for more informative videos!
Listen up guys..Take my advise and get some good lock tight and put on the screws on that seat. My wife fell backwards off my foldcat when the screws fell out. This is a wise boat seat issue not a seas eagle issue.
Expensive you say, mate they are $1600 in Australia. I am just about to buy from the USA and have it shipped and the money I save will buy a deep cycle 105 amp battery, for $185 we pay $230 for a minkota here.
We have one and we use them in small Lochs or Lakes for fly fishing and they are absolutely brilliant and they are really sturdy and well made no cheap gear and we have had ours for about 12years we got ours shipped to Ireland then brought them to Britain and we paid no Vat or duty tax but they are expensive but you only get what you pay for 👍👍🎣
That is correct Gene Short, what you don't see on the video is that we edit the footage to reveal the hulls without visual distractions so as to place focus on the product.
I wish you guys would fix the redirect problem for your website. Just because I live in Japan, doesn't mean I want to shop here. I'm a U.S customer with a U.S postal box and would like to shop at the U.S store. This is highly annoying, especially when I've told customer service about this problem and they apparently did nothing.
Go with the largest deep cycle marine battery that will fit into your setup while considering price and weight. You'll want to get as many amp hours as possible.
I need to repair/replace the valves in my sea eagle 285fpb. Is the re w a tool for removing the valve and how do I get one? Also is there an instruction video on repairing the valve? (not a hole in the boat). Thanks
This tool should do the trick ► www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/parts/halkey-valve-tool?keycode=YT and this video should help as the principles are the same ► ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BD--lAT25is.html
Hello @melissabacon2698, yes, the Bixpy motor can be used with this when paired with the transom adapter ► bixpy.com/transom-adapter-j-1-motors. Thanks for watching. We hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats RU-vid Channel for more informative videos to come!
@@SeaEagleBoats ok thank you for ansewing my question. Im ordering the deluxe version next month i already have the floor bord. I just needed make sure first
I bought one of the very first ones. It was such a pain folding it and putting it in the wrapper or whatever you want to call it that I finally kept it inflated in the back of my pickup. The grab handle broke but they replaced it no charge. They have imprved the seat mount. The swivel seat used it mount entirely differently and the scotty mounts are new. The boat still needs to be about 6"wider and a foot longer. I use a small garden tractor deep cycle battery, a trolling motor and locator.
Thats whati did with my pack fish 7 with the easy release on my floor bord. I put a cut out tarp in my pack fish 7 then fut floor board in with the swivel seet so in case the screws puncture the boat
Can the stiched in scotty mount withstand the weight of 8-10 lbs pyramid anchors? I would likely be using a scotty anchor system instead of the rod holders, but I'm concerned if it can handle the strain...
Jeff Fuchigami Aloha Jeff and thank you for your interest in Sea Eagle products. The Scotty Mount Base is attached to our hulls with a high strength adhesive. We use up to 8 lb. anchors which we sell on our website but honestly have not attached anything above that to the 285fpb as it is a very light one man fishing boat. I myself prefer using our Squid anchor (www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/anchors/squid-anchor-kit) which leaves much room for portability, store-ability and versatility for adjusting the anchor weight.
SeaEagleBoats Thanks for the prompt reply! Could the same be said for the mounts on the Stealth Stalker 10 or has that been reinforced to withstand the 2-man capacity? Here in BC, Canada we are only allowed 2 rods per watercraft. So it would be more ideal if I can use those mounts for anchor systems instead.
Jeff Fuchigami Yes my friend but I'd say you're safe up to 10 lbs. as the design of the Stealth Stalker 10 is much different and most definitely larger than the 285fpb. With that in mind because our boats are both light and have incredible buoyancy it doesn't take a huge anchor. Also please keep in mind that there are many accessories available that you can attach to the Universal Scotty Bases and mounts such as: sounders, lights, cell phone and cup holders, etc. Here's a link to the Scotty accessories that we carry► www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/fishing-gear
If there's wind this thing glides right up into the weeds at lightning speed and it takes forever to get out lol, perfect for calm days but you need to be careful when it's choppy.
Why is this boat so expensive? I can buy a pelican bass raider for $270 at Academy, A Minnkota C2-30 for $80 and a deep cycle battery for $75 which would be less than half the price of this boat with the motorless swivel seat package. Seems like a really nice little boat and a good design but a outrageous price. It would also be nice to be able to chose what you want instead of only offering packages that include a bunch of stuff people already have or don't need.
Blakepoo we did some research and as of today, 5/22/14 found the following: Pelican Bass Raider Single man from Academy $279.99, C2-30 from the same company $89.99, both must be physically picked up and self transported from selected stores only. The price of a deep cycle marine battery varies but there is one for $75. We are a very small family-owned and operated business that does our very best in relation to cost/pricing. It's very hard for a small family business to outprice a huge corporate business. However, we still try our best. Also, the boat you mentioned is made from a mass production mold as ours are hand made requiring much more labor, ours is inflatable thus more store-able and portable, the Pelican is 7'11" and weighs 91.5 lbs, ours is bigger at 9' and still weighs only 42 lbs, our comes with a full 3-year warranty, 3 month trial period, free shipping to your front door, great personal live customer service (not automated like others), and can still fit into the trunk of a small car. The packages are based on customer feedback and the majority of requests. By packaging them we can again reduce cost. The package you mentioned is the Pro Package and saves $370 by packaging versus your ideal of itemizing which would cost our loyal customers an additional $370 for the same package. seaeagle.se.local/FramelessPontoonBoats.aspx?hullID=285fpb#285FPBK_P
