Those poor soggy locos, impressive they haven't rusted to bits yet! Some really clear water, too! 70K?! You could build a locomotive for less. Yeah, seems like it was shut down real quick!

I was in that exact mine shaft in the middle of winter about 10 years ago I never went nearly as far as you we had shifty flashlights and the water was frozen so it felt super sketchy Thanks for finishing exploring it for me now that I know it's somewhat safe I would like to go and check it out again in the summer 👍

Loved the drone footage it gives a cool overview and it was surprising to see water towers still standing. It's proved to be quite a sizeable mine. Good that Ron got the water temperature, now we know what you get yourselves into. Having seen where the water mark was on Ron's jeans we understand why Sharon held back. Thank you very much for this very interesting and informative video presentation which is very much appreciated by the people. One wonders why they left the equipment here. It seems that they were going to continue mining, it certainly does not look as though they intended to leave the mine forever.

Boy, you sure have it rough up there. All wet most of the time, or rotted out wood, rusty. Down here in California we are spoiled. Mostly dry. I prefer dust masks to getting wet and cold. Thanks for being willing to get wet, muddy and cold so we can see them mines

Hmmm. Reminds me of storm surge tides that flooded what is under Santa Cruz, CA. I never learned from what adit the railway was laid underground. I found an open back door. At the rear of a sea cave under West Cliff Drive. Pipe top was awash, slippery, and I heard a seal barking inside. Wading might encounter hungry shark(s). Y'think ?
