I totally remember the Rod Stewart guy!! Ha! Thanks for the throw back. I probably never would have remembered that dude. A classic Boise icon during that time.

Here’s something I will say on the transfer topic and fans reactions. A lot of it has to do with the circumstances that they transferred in. If everything is going great, you have no reason to complain and you are the main guy and then you transfer because you got a better money deal somewhere else like Agbo or if Jeanty had left that’s one thing. I’m not going to spew hate like alot of the overly emotional fans but I’m not going to be following and supporting you once you leave. However, if you have given your all to the program and you have been consistently mistreated either by the system or the staff and you decide you need to move on to maximize your potential I 100% understand that and I will continue to support you and follow your career. Examples: Tyneil Hopper. Dude was a freak athlete. Far superior in receiving ability to any TE on the roster but he was barely used and was never given the opportunity to solidify himself for that top spot. When he announced his transfer to MSU I 100% understood and still keep in touch with his family. Bachmeier. Dude laid his body on the line for this program behind the worse set of OLs BSU has ever seen. Was one of the most hit QBs in College Football. Add to that the fact that he had to work with 3 different OCs in his 4 years at BSU. Then his OC gets fired and he’s faced with a 4th OC plus another new OC the following season combined with how a QB battle after all his time at BSU. Made 100% sense why he transferred and now he has a chance to start for a P4 and build his draft profile. Definitely the right decision and I continue to support him. Taylen Green is a complex story. First off after what BSU did to him with the 2 QB system it makes absolute sense that he would want to leave. A betrayal of him and Madsen that ultimately lead to Avalos’ being fired. Bush was still part of that though and TG transferred before Bush left. However TG also didn’t want to transfer. He had some additional private factors that forced him to leave and I absolutely understand his decision from both the public and private reasons. Ultimately, just because someone leaves doesn’t mean they should lose our support or negates the time and impact they had while they were here. Ultimately, like all facts, it should come down to the surrounding circumstances.

I agree, BB. I don't think we should be making absolutes on this issue. I'm not sure they thought this out completely. One explanation souned solid and the rest seemed to chime in without challenging it. I recall Harin's presser at Auburn when he said he would always bleed blue. And I think fans understand that coaching is a business and decisions are based on business and the bottom line. Koetter, Hawkins, Pettersen, and Harsin left and it was a step up financially. They are likely putting their family ahead of legacy. Avelos, while a good Bronco as a player, nearly ran this school's program into the ground. When I think of how TG10 was handled, I can't blame him for leaving. I also agree with you about Bachmeier, that kid laid his body on the line more than once for the Blue. We have little idea what he contended with off the field and in the meetings. It was plain to see he did not like playing for Avalos. If all things would have remained in place, Hank would have been taking mop up snaps for his future. As it is, it looks as if he'll be starting at Wake Forest this year.

If my Memphis Tigers don't get the playoff spot then I hope Boise does! I'm sick of our two amazing programs getting crapped on and constantly being rejected and told we don't belong. History says different. Good luck guys!

I was one of first 50. Why? Because I like BJ’s writing, a lot. And his coverage ain’t half bad either.

Lucky to have rains in Idaho. We would all be in a tough spot without him.
