I service our Beta 43 engine DIY style for just £86! These need servicing every 250 hours of running so thought you'd like to come along - I hope you find it interesting and useful. Music: www.bensound.com/royalty-free...
Great video and help for my service just one tip on the fuel filter use a plastics bottle with the top cut off all the fuel runs into the bottle and the filter will drop to the bottom when off, keep doing the videos
@@robtheplod looking at selling house next year to purchase one and live abroad. So not yet🤣 but filled me with confidence that I could follow your steps and complete a service myself so thank you! 🤩
To be honest, this will be the vid I’ll be watching again prior to my initial engine service. I just hope all Beta engines are the same. Good etiquette in keeping the engine bay clean.
I do like Beta engines. The inbuilt pump is a luxury as far as I'm concerned, I have to hand pump out of the dipstick hole on my Vetus. That is indeed a complicated filter removal tool but I can see how it would be useful if the filter is surrounded by stuff. That branded Beta oil is murderously expensive, about £25 a go... I use Napa 15w-40 Mineral Oil which is £15 and exactly the same spec afaik. Very tidy job, good work.
Thank you very much for posting. Do you not put some new oil in the filter prior fitting it on? I have seen other videos where people have ( Bit tricky with a filter fitted in horizontally) done so. Does it make any differance?
Hi, yes sorry i didn't really film that bit but yes, always smear some oil around the ring before installing the new filter (oil or fuel). It helps make a good contact and i suspect get it off again the next time! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, its very much appreciated! Rob
NarrowboatWill has a good vlog on this with the PRM120 - look at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bhxRaQ3HXEA.html . You'll need ATF. Thanks for watching! The manual isn't clear but looks like it says change each year? www.prm-newage.com/media/File/PRM120.pdf
@@robtheplod I love how your videos are “honest” as in show little misteaks. Where were the kids on engine day? Little hands and get into little spaces etc haha
Sorry , on my beta 43 where you pump the engine oil out just below on the pump is a tap . Just wondering which way it should be , when pumping the oil out !!! Thanks
