Put a hitch on your car and get a small utility trailer so you can haul more. Paid about $150 at uhaul for mine. I haul all kinds of stuff. Trash, quads, furniture. Brush after trimming trees. Takes money to make money.
@@PaperandMoose I wear a heavy Filson leather belt that is lined with thin leather I cut a small slit in it at the middle of my back and keep a handcuff key tied to piece of string in it Hey I used to be a Boy Scout “ Be Prepared “ 😉
I went up to a cop at a convenience store. Pulled my keys out of my pocket and showed him the handcuff key on my chain. Asked him, does this fit your cuffs.
FYI - You do not need to provide the key for the handcuffs. All handcuffs use the same key. Whoever buys them more than likely will already have a handcuff key. Just state it does not come with one in the listing.
Though most use the universal key there are some cuffs that use a specific key. High-security locks will often use their own key or a non-universal key and are only good for that brand. Those are general and the person can get a key for about $5.
I've been doing this almost two years now. It is amazing how you can turn $20 into $3-500 and a really good until over a $1,000. Great job can't wait to see you buy more of these. 🙏🥰🙏
Here in Florida I have to paperwork to show you. Last week I won 10 lockers and 8 of them was $10 the other 2 I paid $30 well plus taxes and fees but took only two small $10 units and turned $20 into $387.50. I sell all my cloths for a dollar and made $110 on cloths sales alone. The good thing is I now have enough inventory for at least 4 weeks at the flea market. No wants to work here in Florida.
Coach Signature Poppy Daisy Canvas Bag with Leather Strap and cross body strap. Going to 60.00 and that is with out the long strap. Great find! Beautiful pattern on the coach
For a whopping twenty bucks, it was worth the risk and a pretty nice buy. A neat tripod, Micky Mouse, golden costume jewelry, hand cuffs ("Are these legal ?")🤣and tons of flea market items. The return of investment will be much more than hundred bucks. BTW: a new package will be on its way to Bloomsbury tomorrow and will reach you after 7/10 days. It might be a surprise, Renée 😉! Don´t get dehydrated 😊! Greets from GER, U.
Definitely look up the # on the tag of the coach bag! I don't know how you're working in there! I'm sweating working INSIDE my house in south Louisiana 😅 😅🤣
Fun little locker Rene.. Cosplay and handcuffs= loads of fun..😲😝 Nice.. It certainly could of been worse but hey not too shabby.. Take care always..👍💕🔥⚾🤙
Well young lady, after paying 550.00 for a tiny storage unit, spent the entire day loading all for the dump. No joke. I was so upset but said nothing. as my son kept apologizing for suggesting. I told him”, you are not a genie to see through metal doors so stop apologizing”! It was that bad. I thought how can anyone have this garbage in a storage unit. Boxes of rags, newspapers, truly horrible stained clothing. Yuppers, 550. 00 plus gas gone. Never ever ever again. Thank you for filming doll. You are the sweetest! Miss k
Ugh, that sounds awful! But don’t worry, plenty of storage buyers have had that experience. Hopefully the next unit you buy you find no garbage & only great things!
I've known 2 people long ago did pretty good...then sometimes, clothes can't sell at yardsale, 2nd hand store...some even own 2nd hand stores, sell to charity for tax right off....I've known people hoarders...it's possible get that nice payday just like casinos....
Surely, somebody has been picking through that unit before you. Or, maybe the original renter came back to grab their good stuff prior to the auction. Why would somebody rent such a large unit (for a large monthly rent) for just a few bags and a couple boxes?
Usually the unit owners get the valuables they can get to depending on how packed the unit is. If they even remember. Storage Facilities have 24-7 surveillance. They can't pick through a unit. What they can do is sell a unit at auction and the buyer goes through it over the course of a day. Then leaves all the remaining items and just loses their deposit. That unit can be auctioned again. Sometimes over and over until it is complete trash. So there are lots of possibilities however there is almost zero chance that the on site staff "picks through" anything. If so, no one would ever find anything right at the front of the unit.
I could not resist the curiosity about what was inside the storage unit! I have never followed any venture like yours, but you got me hooked now as a new subscriber. Thanks! Oh, our birthdays are right around the same time of year lol I hope you hit the jackpot!
My wife and I buy storage units but she is afraid of us videoing and posting because of people harassing. We don’t buy many units in our hometown so I told her we should just video the out of town ones. Thank you for sharing your experience
Cindy Michaud put a very cool link on here explaining the Aunt Sally game. Super short but interesting. Good little unit for the money. Cuffs generally take a universal key. Not all, but most. I believe yours fall into that category. I enjoyed this. Do another.
Buying storage units is an adult easter egg hunt. Me and a friend did this in Dallas for a couple of years. Most people don't realize how much work it is to clean out these units. You're usually under a time limit (end of the day, or, sometimes the next day), and you have to leave a deposit. 4 hours in 100+ degree temps in a storage unit is no joke. However, the Easter Egg hunt is woth it :-)
On hand bags and such..look at the stiching to be flawlessly done..and for the patterns on the bag to line up ..on ones that have them.. this is for the real ones...fakes have terrible stitching and the patterns just don't line up..just a few signs..
Unfortunately, it looks like that tripod was missing the top piece---the mount that detaches from the tripod and fastens to the camera. The tripod is practically worthless without that mount. The mounts are not universal--you have to have one that fits! I see these all the time at yard sales and even thrift stores without the mount...
💜 pretty sure you can use any type of handcuffs as play, depending on the game.🙃 Last time I checked a spare or replacement key is $1.25 plus shipping or there abouts depending on brand.
Well now what ! Can't wait for the next storage unit to see if we find Aunt Sally 🤗 What will we do . Thank you for being so careful going through the items. So often there are needles and drugs. Sad but true. God bless young lady and the hubby and I wish you all the best. ❤️ From CA.
Thank you for your transparency and for being so real. You are a joy to watch. I subscribed today although I thought I had done that earlier?! You work hard and take us along on your journey. For that I thank you. Tina (a California reseller)
Any unit that pays for itself is a good unit, right? Thanks for sharing. BTW the Iron Pigs beat the Bulls 7-6 Saturday night, though the Bulls took the series 2-1. I hate to say it but the Bulls deserved to lose Saturday. Pigs outplayed 'em.
Thanks for sharing the video I enjoy seeing what can be found in the units you will make some money I think not a bad buy I will be watching for the next notification take care hope you have a blessed weekend
If you go to a storage auction where they unlock the locker with the key they've already been in it and went through and got what they wanted if they cut the lock off they haven't been in it I learned that the hard way
Loved this! I have to go lay down for a bit. My right lower side is giving me a lot of pain. Love ya stay safe my heart adopted daughter I love you! We lived in this little tiny town called Minden mines, Missouri, my husband was the police man. He came home and handcuffed me and they fell right off. So stinking funny. I think we were in our early thirties then. He will be 69 August 5 And I just turned 67 July 24. Was a long time ago but so funny.
I always love the comment one man's trash is another man's treasure or woman but I stopped a long time ago I used to live out in California and trying to post everything to eBay or going to flea markets it just got old for me and I know that freaking hand creature one of my kids loves it can't remember which one though anyway I hope you find that big one one day and you really want to know where the handcuffs came from or / was used for 😁😁😁
Check the inside of the coach bag. I have several real coach bags I've bought at a coach store. There is a tag on the inside pocket with a metal coach emblem they also come with a number that tells you it's an authentic coach bag.
It's always fun rooting through what others leave behind or throw out. I am a reclaimer myself. I tell others to give me a list of what they want/need and in time, there's a good chance I will find it. With the treasures you found you'll do ok. I felt like reaching through the monitor and handing you a bottle of water.
It’s great when you are able to find something that someone is looking for, especially if it’s cheaper than buying new or in a shop/online. I also enjoying finding things that people say they’ve wanted or remember from childhood!
They made digging through the trash against the law in my City, they say the trash belongs to the owner till it is picked up by the truck. Then is when they take ownership, then the dump Is given ownership. And they can sell items from it to the public if they choose to.
I don’t know if anyone has told you but handcuff keys are common to certain brands and are pretty cheap. I’ve worked in private security and investigations for over 30 years and have several sets of handcuffs and basically there are 2 keys that can open practically any set. From what I saw of the keyhole on that set anyone buying them should be able to get a key at any security/police supply shop. Owning handcuffs is not illegal.
First time watching you, check the jewelry boxes deeper the keys may be in them somewhere for the handcuffs. Hope you find them. Piece Love and Harmony!!✌️🤗💞🎶
We enjoy going to auctions and post quite a few to our YT channel. I have considered looking into storage unit auctions here in North Carolina if you have any advice. New subscriber. God bless.
That would be a Manager special. Storage facility takes anything that’s left over in other units that nobody wanted and they put it into a different unit together so they could sell it for some money
I've heard that, but the one issue I see is that storage facility are legally required to print notices of the auction. These notices include the names of those who "owned" the unit... Are they just putting in any old name? Because if they are just taking things out of units to put together in other units, what happens if someone ends up paying up on their unit at the very last minute & then when they go to their unit, see that items have been removed?
That was fun! I really love to go through such stuff myself after picking from an estate cleanout (since - again - you can't buy storage units in germany).
Storage units gibt es durchaus auch bei uns, allerdings sind sie in Deutschland weit weniger verbreitet als in den USA und meist nur in den Großstädten zu finden.
Hi Renee. You made your money back on those hand cuffs. I hope the key is still in there. All the stuff animal, and Micky too are also good. How ever you price them, you made you money. God Bless you Renee. Have a great day. Maria. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍👍👍👍😘😘😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😀😀😀😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm posting late, so you may have already found out this info, but my husband who is a retired deputy sheriff here in Texas says the cuffs he has (made in USA) were all keyed in those days to be interchangeable. That was in the 1990s, don't know if it's still that way. Here they were allowed to scratch their name into their cuffs and keep them after retirement.
Love watching your videos and how excited you get with your finds. Thought of you the other day when I passed a house clean out grabbed a bag of DVDs and found some one had thrown out a bunch of nice kid toys and a Couture dress. Keep digging can’t wait til your next treasure find😊💐
Ummm…as a peace officers kid I don’t understand the controversy of those cuffs. I have three pairs. One was my Dads, two were from friends of his who passed them on to him, and they are older. Much older. Cuffs, whether bought fur law enforcement or fun are COMPLETELY legal. Thanks for the click bait… I figured it was something like this when I saw the title. When I got my Dads various cuffs I had fun embarrassing my wife with them in front of my mom. Good times! Nice pick up too. Do you have the keys? I made sure the ones I have have the keys… more valuable that way. 😉
