You left out Canada, in 1965 they adapted the Maple Leaf flag used today but from 1892-1965 the flag had a red background with the Union Jack in the upper left corner and the coat of arms on the right side. I kept watching this video expecting to see it but never did. Good video otherwise!
@@SrRodrik Actually Canada started to govern itself and be it's own country in 1931 (Before that they were just a Dominion of Britain) I still think Canada's original flag should have been included in this video! Canada was it's own country for 34 years before it changed to the maple leaf flag. Changing our flag had nothing to do with being a part of or leaving the British Empire. Everyone in Canada considers the old flag our original flag.
Canada was an "entity" with it's own Parliament and it's own capital city (Ottawa) since 1867. The "red ensign flag was used along with th Union Jack from that time (or possibly earlier) until the current Maple Leaf flag was adopted (with much controversy and fanfare) in 1965.
You left out Canada which changed its flag from the "Red Ensign" to the Maple Leaf in 1963. The Red Ensign was red with a British Union Jack in the top left corner, and the Canadian Coat of Arms in the bottom right. The flag was changed to show Canada's independence from Britain. In 1956, Canada' foreign minister, Lester Pearson, put together an international peace keeping force to end the Suez crisis. Egypt would not let Canada participate, because our flag signified that Canadians are subject to Britain. When Pearson became Prime Minister, he changed the flag.
First, he "left out" a lot of countries, because a video about every country that's changed its flag would take forever. Also, the Canadian flag was changed in 1965.
THE CHINESE 5 COLORS REPUBLIC FLAG WAS USED FROM 1912 TO 1927. FROM 1927 TO 1949, THE CHINESE FLAG WAS THE NOWADAYS TAIWAN'S FLAG(IT IS CALLED "BLUE SKY WHITE SUN RED GROUD FLAG"). THE CHINESE FLAG IS THE 5 STARS RED FLAG AFTER 1949
To the best of my knowledge, the fleur-de-lis/ fleur de lys has not been forgotten. On the contrary, it has been "erased" because it refers to sovereignty, to royalty. Since the French Revolution, all signs reminiscent of royalty have been gradually replaced to avoid conflict and reminders of the old regime. The French president, for example, is not officially allowed to have a bean for the galette des rois, to avoid conflict. I am not quite sure but as a French this is my understanding…
@@scarymonster5541 Both. Only their ruler, Shah Ismail has Kurdish descendants. While the country was made up of Turkmen tribes (Turkmen means Muslim Turk from Oghuz tribe btw), even their army was made up of Turkmen tribes. It was located in Iran (Nationality).
Formally, the US flag has changed many times varying the number of stars and, in the first few decades, the number of stripes. Small changes but if you include changes in the color shades in some flags the US changes are at least as great as those. It’s been over sixty years since the last change which is the longest such stretch in US history.
Malaysia has also changed the no. of stripes & the no. of points of it's yellow star on its flag throughout history. With each point & stripe representing a state/territory in the country, some have been added when Singapore, Sabah & Sarawak were included in 1963, while 1 stripe & point were removed when the former was expelled 2 years later
The description of the Chinese flag in the video is wrong. The five-color flag of the Republic of China was adopted on January 10, 1912, and was replaced by the red flag with blue sky and white sun on the ground on December 29, 1928. After 1949, it was replaced by the five-star red flag.
@@mahnas92 What is a Palestinian refugee in Sweden doing posturing about Saudi Arabia? You know nothing of Arabian history except parroting the words of your surroundings and it shows. Yes, the flag presented here wasn't KSA's former flag but that of the Rashidi Emirate, however, the Saudis have been a major player in Arabia and the dominant force there for the last three centuries. That is far more ancient than your saga with the Zionists which forms the basis for your entire miserable identity.
You are lying, the flag of Saudi Arabia in 1921 was not that one since in 1921 Saudi Arabia was not yet unified as it is today and therefore did not have a single flag, there was several emirates in 1921 and each emirate had a flag before being united in 1932 with the flag known today.
The "BACK - YELLOW FLAG" of Austrian Empire started in 1804 and enden in 1867! After that came the AUSTRO - HUNGARIAN EMPIRE from 1867 to 1918! Then the "RED - WHITE - RED FLAG" of Austrian from 1914 to 1934
As some previously marked in German and French, the Swiss flag has always been square, not rectangular. This is also visible in front of the UN building in New York even if flags are supposed to be equal in size and format to underscore the equality of single states in the body of the UN.
The flag of Austria was even in the Middle Ages red - white - red and hasn't changed till today. Therefore Austria has the oldest flag of all countries. The gold-black flag was the flag of the Habsburg dynasty.

In the mid 20th century, the USA went from a star pattern with 48 stars to 49 and then a year later the current 50 to mark that addition of new states to its union
Forgot the Canadian flag. Canada changed its flag from the British Union Jack to three vertical strips: |red|white|red| with red maple leaf in the center of the white stripe.
Thank you for the video. Please ignore all the "You forgot this country and that country" comments. It's obvious to anyone with an IQ over 50 that the title indicates that it contains 29 of the many countries that have changed their flags. You didn't include my country, but it's perfectly understandable.
My opinion about the flag designs: *Old flag was better* : Spain, Mexico, China, Egypt, UAE *New flag is better* : Belgium, UK, Japan, Switzerland, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Surinam, Greece, Iran, Cambodia, Georgia, D.R. Congo, Myanmar, Afghanistan *More or less the same* : Austria, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Korea, Libya, France, Honduras, South Sudan, Kyrgyzstan
Wow, I always thought Cambodia had one original flag from the beginning. Thanks for feeding knowledge. What about Vietnam? What's between the 3 headed elephant and the white moon flag country, Laos.
Canada changed her flag from a Red Ensign of the Union Flag of Britain to the Red Bordered White flag with a central maple leaf in 1965. Is this not worth a notice in your article?
That is not all. There were countless countries that had changed their flags within the past 5000 years. Plz specify a time period in your video 's title.
The Chinese flag is wrong, 1927-1949 is the current Taiwanese flag (the official name of Taiwan is now the Republic of China, which was the name of China at the time).
He didn't _forget_ anything. If he were to make a video of all the countries that have changed their flags during that time, it would have taken forever.
Parang walang sense. Kaya malas tayo sa infrastructure. Di gaya ng ibang bansa, talagang prodesign sila. Mapaflag man o infrastructures.
