Java vs Bedrock.. which version of Minecraft do you play? 😎

From what I’ve gathered, legacy features are better on Java while newer updates have their charm on Bedrock.

There is another difference between Bedrock and Java 30: In Bedrock, you can find FALLEN Trees in Forests, Birch Forests and other places that has trees... Java doesn't have those

You can use the /kill feature in bedrock. You just have to type /kill @e and it’ll work

7:30 Flying (and Bedrock in general) used to control a lot better imo. Now, Mojang have been trying to “fix” Bedrock’s controls to more so match Java’s, and their attempts at “fixing” them have been… less than ideal.

In Java, Ghasts shoot fireballs way faster and lets you hit the fireball way easier. In Bedrock, the Ghast shoots a fireball and it takes approximately 4 years for it to shoot out, and the delay between hitting the fireball and it flying back is about 1.7 years

From playing both versions, Java is better for creative and bedrock is wayyy better for survival since it’s actually a challenge

love how literally the first thing is a java edition bug. anyway, here i am to do my thing again: 1:03 this is a bit of an oversimplification of the situation imo. regular healing isn't faster on java edition. it's specifically 'saturation healing'* that's faster. saturation healing doesn't exist on bedrock because it's a feature of the 1.9 combat system, which only java edition got. *('saturation healing' is probably not the official name, but it's what the wiki calls it) 1:50 snowflakes are also noticeably bugged on java edition, disappearing and reappearing at seemingly complete random (it isn't random. it's just locked to the tile grid for some reason, which is even more noticeable when you look up.) 2:05 this is because explosions are a very old particle. they were added at a time when pocket edition's main goal was optimization, so they got shrunk to the size of all the other particles, and just haven't been updated since. fun fact: because of the way mojang shrunk the texture for pocket edition, it actually contains quite a bit of semi-transparency, which isn't visible in-game due to the particle's material. 2:53 not entirely sure why you singled out the death screen. all of the ui is very famously completely different across nearly every single edition. 3:12 gonna be honest, i'm not seeing a difference here, ant. 3:34 nor here, tbh. 4:30 this is because light-emitting blocks aren't actually subject to block face shading on bedrock in most cases. which is weird, because they are subject to entity shadows on bedrock. 5:28 you can also use '/gamemode s' or '/gamemode c' on bedrock edition. 6:15 i do love myself some off-by-one errors. 7:30 antony, you may be the only person i have ever heard of that actually prefers the floaty mess that java edition calls creative flight. 8:08 tress on bedrock edition stay superior B)

I play on bedrock and its not as bad as people portray it, i mean yeah sometimes it slows down or the nether portal loading time kills you but other than that its really not that bad and there are some really unique features that bedrock has that java doesnt, like potion cauldrons and posable armor stands

Java is the OG and the only version I will continue to play. Bedrock can't compare with the mods that are available. There are beta versions of Minecraft with more mods and variety than current Bedrock 😂

I've noticed I like the creative flying more in bedrock because you fly too fast in java so when building you can't sprint backwards while placing blocks which is very convenient in bedrock; it makes building faster

Overall it seems that Java has better quality of life features, while Bedrock has better immersion and more "new stuff".

The leaves on trees turn white with the snow in Bedrock Edition as well

skeleton horses are worse on bedrock edition than their java counterparts. This makes what is meant to be a rare and rewarding mount after surviving a few in game days, a mediocre oddity the player won't need a saddle to ride. Riding mounts are also slower and clubkier on bedrock edition. While java mounts are more responsive.

Who saw herobrine?

Real talk, there are some aspects where Bedrock can do better (e.g. dynamic death screen) But then we have aspects where Java is better (e.g. operator commands)

The 'feeding dogs fish' thing is true, but you can't breed dogs with it for some strange reason

Correction, the /kill command is on bedrock you have to put @s for self or @e for entities

A couple more, you can’t die to the void in creative in bedrock, there are fallen trees in forests in bedrock, and redstone is different (for example, quasi connectivity doesn’t work in bedrock)

Java players hating bedrock because of how successful bedrock is compare to Java base on popularity. Java will just come up about a lot of kids playing on bedrock. It doesn't matter how java players think they have better version, Bedrock is the most successful one that Mojang has ever created. Less lag, more world features, multiplayer is better which making friends are easier and better, can be run optimizely to any plaform devices, and lastly, the mojang can earn more money from it. At the end of the day, if the day comes. The most popular one and the most successful one will be kept, while the other one will be disconued and fall. Java players can't accept that fact.

For bedrock players if you want to do the third person run dont hold the jump button, you need to press the jump when you land.
