My favorite experience in this game was one where I warped into the middle of three Red Devil dreadnaughts and their attendant force. I took so much damage I actually took hull damage, this entire song played through, and as it hits that final "And hells coming down... hell's coming down... HELL'S COMING DOWN THESE BLOODY RAILS!" the last dreadnaught goes off and the song fades out. Damn that felt good.
"Threat Level - Red" Hell's comin' down there bloody rails! *Boom!* "Threat Level - Blue." Just LOVE when that kinda perfect timing happens in the game!
Yeah, the soundtrack sounded like the type of songs a space privateer would actually listen to if a space radio station existed in real life. I could totally picture Han Solo and Chewie rocking out to this on their smuggling runs.
this game won 3 times over 1. it was fun nuff said 2. oh my god this soundtrack gets you into the action immediately (gooes bumps intensifies) 3. Game play was outstanding!
Turrets on full power. Each attacking certain targets. The broadside neutron beams carving scars into capital ships and the auxiliary ports firing flak cannons. A thing of beauty
When the Devil calls, this is what you do:1) dress nice2) remain calm3) get his attention4) Answer his call with the largest Broadside salvo you can manage.5) repeat steps 3-4 till there is nothing left. Have nice day! ;)
This is soooooo epic! Same with the game... A very fun space cowboy game with awesome freaking music... I feel like i am in a firefly series... Love it.
I remember my first time I exited warp because of nearby hostiles, I just left Rust City to go see Sandar, cant believe in that small amount of space between that the Militia were going after it with the Red Devils. I enjoyed fighting them while this played but when the dust settled I was hanging on by the skin of my teeth with aft and port hull gone, starboard hull almost gone, and 12% health. Game felt like shit until that happened. Now I am an addict and relish the large battles! Joined the Mercenary guild as soon as I went to zone 2 and upgraded from my Mastadon to Scarab (I had not yet realized there was mission boards and had to do hit, retreat, repeat on most missions.)
i finished the game one time and dong it again Blackgate is an extremely awesome ship but mighty slow in fights but hill and turrets compensates for enemies your broadside ports can't hit
just tap M every few seconds and you can pass though entire planets unscathed and without exiting warp, I use it for dead drop mission mostly, as i can avoid enemies while running away
This song played during the final battle against the super dreadnought. All the ships firing away at the aliens and my dreadnought charging at that monstrosity with all its cannons blazing. I still don't know how the merc I hired managed to survive all that madness. Honestly, it's sad that after that insane battle there's no more of that action.
This soundtrack... Can only hope it's part of the new Rebel Galaxy, Outlaw. 7 music channels, 21 hours worth of music. I sure hope these songs are some where in them. Hell even the instrumentals would be nice to hear from time to time.
A last stand like the Yomato 1v8 Red Devil's destroying them with upgraded Broadsides, Alpha Flak Canons (2), Beta Gauss Canons (2). Such a magnificent battle spectacle
I'll never forget the battle with the super dreadnought at the end with the Militia, with Trill sacrificing herself to save us. My ship at that time was the Blackgate, toughest ship I ever commanded. I didn't even have her at Lvl. 6 weapons and defensive equipment. This music started playing when the super dread showed up and I knew I was in for one hell of a fight. I just kept focus fire on one side and eventually the super dread was down. So word of advice to anyone who listens to this music and decides to buy this game; focus fire on one side for maximum effect, but be sure to watch your own defenses.
I still remember times tailing smaller, hostile dreadnoughts in the rear, just letting the lasers to the work. Fired off a few missile salvoes from time to time just to keep up the pressure.
I just got this yesterday, I'm hooked. The music definitely captured me instantly, and the gameplay is reminiscent of AC Black Flag. I almost named my ship the Jackdaw. >_>
I downloaded this game cause it's free with PlayStation Plus. Started it up and upon hearing the music my initial thought was: "HOW THE FUCK HAVE I NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS GAME UNTIL NOW"
- I just beat it last night in my Sorcerer. I then switched to a McKinley for an hour or two and saved up enough via commodity trading to buy a Blackgate, and it's in full Mk.6 gear with some Mk.5 alien tech weapons. Everything dies. WOO! I love this game!
The game was ok but the soundtrack crank everything up to 11. Even watching the demo battle play in the main menu with music blasting on is quite entertaining. First time i start the game up, it greeted me with the Evil Ways. It still stuck in my head.
Hey, O kinda want to talk about sci-fi videogames... What a cool concept huh? Total ying to yang fantasy, while you come up with stuff in fantasy, you can mirror each other😂🤟🪷 it with real physics and stuff in sci-fi right? Imagine how would something based on different density, gravity, "air" and "water" looked like, like... If there was way for something for example to survive in mercury and the planets "water" would be mercury (farstretched) ... And like, I think there exists either book or documentary that even Hawking was part of... I think, I am not sure, but I know there were theories about how would life on other planets look like 😁. Also I weighly remember that there existed something, I don't know where or what, but it was project about how would fauna look like if it evolved from bugs after our extinction? Just like... I mean everything is cool as f. On this planet sometimes, especially people minds
From what I understand about Serenity, a couple of the cast members didn't want to do it anymore. One of the reasons the pilot died in the end. Granted they could replace them but it just wouldn't be the same.
I played the game a lot. It's sad that late game the gameplay gets really stale and even the aesthetics of the game which are lovely, can't save that you're getting bored of combat. I don't know how to 'fix' that issue.. the power creep speed feels off, and I don't mind the 2-d/3d aspect of space, it's good and I'm used to it. If you play the game with a critical eye you'll see both the merits and the flaws. Soundtrack helps the game immensely. I think the campaign should have been shorter and then your 'freelancer' mode could be 'post game' with some post game sub-plots etc. Just my opinion over someone who played the game a lot.
Ride into the Blackgate's tail pipes and take out the rear turrets and as long as he has a load of mining lasers equipped he should be fine. That's how I took out my first Red Devil Blackgate, felt pretty BA afterwards.
Thats if you can catch my Baracuda. You guys are pretty slow. I got an entire haul of space slaves with me. If I go down, so do the innocent lives. HAHAHAHHAH!
