Back around 1995, my local arcade Time Out! (at the Arnot Mall in Horseheads, NY) had a Data East Star Wars pinball machine for sale for only like $700. The game was perfectly playable and still in good shape, no idea why they were selling it but I begged my parents to buy it for me (I was only like 12 years old lol) and of course they just laughed at the idea. The next time I was there the table was gone, dunno who bought it but wow did they get the bargain of a lifetime.

I played this game STARWARS pinball at the GOLF PLUS amusement center, it was November of 1997. My brother has said these words about this pinball machine, and I have it on tape, "Uncle Roger, I'm gonna beat the high score, and I will do it, yeah anytime you, and it should be done, right? RIGHT, you're always right! Well since that recording was made in late late November or early December of 1997 he has not beaten my high score!

You mention "two games use the animated bumpers: SW and Checkpoint", but I believe DE also did it in Simpsons, they just put the smoke stacks on them instead of regular caps.

It appears that FIVE companies did a licensed Star Wars pinball (DE, Williams, Stern, and two overseas companies: Hankin, as well as Sonic). Which company's Star Wars pinball do you like most? (Granted I don't imagine you have played the Hankin or Sonic, so those can be excluded 🤓).
