I haven’t ventured into resin yet. I’m a big chicken! I love all of your videos, no matter what the subject matter! Keep teaching us! I will watching.❤️
Thank you Kanella for all the detailed resin work. This video has has taught me so much with your honesty in letting your viewers know all that you do and how you do !
Thank you so much for taking the time to show us this despite the RU-vid expectations. As always I learn from you. And I will continue to watch you because of all of your art that I love, and your honesty. ❤️
Thank you Kanella for the tip on getting rid of the bubbles in the molds. I really needed that tip because there's some resin channels I've watched & they do tourch or heat gun the bubbles. But I myself have ruined 2 or 3 molds already doing it that way. I love how the just vanished using the alcohol sprits. See I've already learned something new & better from you.❤️
I watched this episode on big screen TV. and it was so cool. I’m going to start watching you on big screen. Thanks for doing this video. ❤️ from Oklahoma
Love the outcome of everything you resin. Loved the dos and donts. Love the heart. The color is amazing. Must love your new table allows you to work on several projects at the same time. Your dad rocks
Kanella, I think everything you'd is worth watching. It is all so inspiring, and beautiful. I really appreciate that you show us the items that YOU don't think turn out, it's really encouraging for people like me that want to try these things but are afraid of how they will turn out. You are amazing.
You work so hard at pleasing all of us......Kanella you do what you do best....it's your show and you are so kind to show all your talents and you shine!! So special your are...Love Gramma Donna
Thanks for making this video :) especially the tip on avoiding heat guns and torches on the resin molds very helpful never would have though of using the spray the dominos turned out beautifully :)
New territory for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed learning about this. I’ve used moulds to make plaster of Paris bears with my twin granddaughters aged 8. So we might give this a go - just for fun! Hugs to you, Kanella - lockdown has been really tough on young parents; homeschooling is a nightmare! It will soon be over with the vaccine programme rolling out so rejoice in the ‘packed lunch’ fiasco! Once the kids are out that door, the day is yours again! xx
Thanks so much for all the info you shared on this video. I am just starting to do projects with Resin and I watch your videos every time I need some help. I also recommend your videos to others that are asking questions in the many Acrylic Pouring groups I belong to. Thank you again.
The heart ❤️ turned out beautiful I love it. The blue glitter so pretty. Lots of info. I didn’t know the alcohol gets rid of the bubbles great tip. Thank you for sharing.
I'm just getting into resin and I like how you explain everything well. This is how I found you so you got one extra subscriber because of resin. I will watch your other videos too. 😊
Hi Kanella You can also use baby wipes to clean up the resin works so well 😊 I use to do tumblers with the resin and got allergic reaction so I can’t do them anymore and I miss it so much just thought I would Mention it. Love your resin work and your Dutch pours 🥰 Thank you Denise
I just got heart resin mold can't wait to watch your video!!! I was so excited when I saw you posted. Have a great weekend Kanella! Great job on these and all your work ❤🤗👍
Kanella, I am so happy you made this resin video! I am a chicken and have not yet tried resin, but I am gathering my courage and will try it!!! Thank you ever so much❣️🌹
That heart is gorgeous! It’s shaped so wonderfully! I’m sorry about your unicorn. When you figure it out, she’ll be great! The dominoes are to die for! I love them! Thanks for showing us how they are done.
On the unicorn, I am new to this but temperatures matter as well as dropping the ink in intervals. Don't put the white until the epoxy is warm. The white will work magic !! ❤❤
Thanks for doing this video! I use a paint marker to do the lines on the mold itself prior to the resin, & the needle bottle or a writer bottle for the dots. I use both paint & resin for dots depending on the set. First set I used a toothpick; bottles are nice! Thanks for that tip (from Pouring Your Heart Out comment to Julie)!
I LOVE when you and Tammy TEACH!!! ❤️ Resin is a must for us to seal our art. I don’t use it on every piece, some look better with Brite Tone (a far easier type of varnish *note NOT for primary elements; it reactivates the pigments as it’s a water based sealant. ) I struggle with pitting or random bubbles or dust left in resin, it’s not as easy to produce a perfect effect for me anyway. I know most all the tricks/tips but I get 2 out of 10 good surfaces with my canvases ugh. I do far better with tiles wood etc. SO “anywho” 😉 I NEED TO SEE YOU & TAM DO ANY SORT OF RESIN WORK!!! I actually ‘learn’ from the both of you far better than any artist out there doing what we love to do. Besides creating other types of art is PURE JOY as well!!! So I WILL WATCH ALL of your Resin videos I promise🥰👍🏽
I used paint pens for my dots, however you have to make sure that you cannot see through the back of the dominoes, otherwise your opponent will know your hand. It looks like yours are perfect, I did mine with a chameleon color, and had to paint the back....great video Kanella. 💕
Hi Kanella, Thank you for this video, I like doing things with resin and all tips are so welcome, so once again, thank you. I do hope these mould companies give you their moulds because like me I expect others are now going to buy domino moulds and all the others you have shown us. You have guessed right - I am chomping at the bit to get moulds, and having a 'go'. The inspiration you give out to us all is fantastic. x
Cool heart! ❤️ On your unicorn 🦄 if you don't put the colors on top of each other it'll not mix as much. Spread out your pink ink spots and then put the purple in between your pink spots. They expand some together but will give you more true coloring!
Oh Kanella those metallic powders are beautiful. I love them. I used them on my new reed diffuser I have made out of hollowed out lightbulbs. I used the translucent resin dyes and alcohol inks to colour the bulbs then use the metallic powder in gold and copper wow. They are so pretty they look so metallic. You will love them. Thanks for showing us how u do your dominoes
Sorry if someone already said this but I found that if you mix the white craft n cast or white piñata alcohol ink with a little resin and then add it to the top of your alcohol drops. Just put a couple drops of alcohol ink let them sink for a moment the add the white on top. Add a few more drops of alcohol ink, let it sink for a moment then add white and so on. When your done adding color you can swirl with your skewer not very much. Julie from Pour your Heart out has a video on this.
Thank you for teaching us your techniques! You do a great job - even on the projects that are not successful! we do learn from them! You work is beautiful-
Sorry agin miss u ! U are so amazing in every thing u do ! Cheers 🥂thank u so much for this lesson can’t wait to buy some 🥰hope the kids have great day on Monday seeing all there friends again !! Be safe take care chat soon !!
For the unicorn, don’t overlap your alcohol ink drops. If you want the two colors drop drops in the areas you want the color and barely let the colors touch. They will spread and do their thing making gorgeous swirls and blooms.
I’m going to have to get that heart mold to play with “petri dish” resin art. I think it would look super cool with alcohol inks falling through the resin making it look like blown glass
Lol Loved you little caption when you went looking. Very cute. Always have a sense of humour because that will always get us through the crappy times. :)
Great tutorial! I love the iridescent and the glitter. Let's Resin has so many cute moulds. And they're inexpensive. I don't know who resin videos don't do as well. It's a shame, because the possibilities are endless with resin. That's what I started with. Another hour until you and Tammy do your live Q & A. I can't wait.
I appreciate all the resin tips. You inspired me to give it a try. I hear you when you say your resin videos don’t do as well but maybe they will over time. In any case, thank you!
I watch everything you do, be it resin or dutch pour. You are one of my favourites, even though I don't do any of it. I'm a card and junk journal maker myself. But I find what you do so fascinating to watch! I had to laugh when I saw your little bottles with the paint in them. I use the same to apply my glues with! They are nice and soft, easy to squeeze. Oh, and I love the heart! Looks like it's so very touchy-feely😄 Ah, well, I guess I will have to watch this video 3 or 4 times to make up for all the other idiots who don't know what they're missing!!!!! Keep up the good work and stay safe, hugs from Germany🤗♥️
LOL! I about fell out of chair when you sped up the video and the music kicked in!!! 😂😂 my first thought was OH NO she is going to dump half the cup in that next rectangle!!!! I actually was startled and freaked out all at once for 3seconds before I realized you were accelerating the video!!! 🤣
I definitely agree!! I’ve sculpted a few pieces using the color inks.. Just a few drops of what ever colors you want to use,,and spread them further apart.. Try 5 or 6 drops of each color.. They’ll blend into each other but not overtake..Take a stick and make swirls in the resin... Beautiful effect!!
