Definitely wish Cat would have the same software that is on the D3 compact track loader on their excavators. I bought a 306 excavator and am not pleased that I can't see the hours or fuel usage for my different operators like I can in my 289 CTL. Software continuity would be an asset. Makes training operators on different machines much easier! Pass that along to Cat please!
I’m an old school operator, flipping this button, holding that button, moving that lever, all in one motion sounds like a video game controller, to much technology makes for unsafe operating, like watching a cellphone video while driving a vehicle. Just saying.
I’m the same. I know where the bucket is at from looking at it. I could load pallets onto a semi with a 966 loader even if the forks were in front of the bucket. Like you know where that ground engagement tool is when you’re pro.
