When my siblings and I were very little our parents would take us camping in our Ford station wagon. Four kids stuffed in the back like sardines. My younger sister would sing this song continuously until I would start crying. Now we are grandparents and I love this song. Our parents are gone but we have these memories that make us laugh and fill us with love. Thanks for playing it.
Just love how some music doesn’t require a language to understand it. Everyone can fluently hear and understand it. One gorgeous universal language that ties all together
Been playing cello for 13 years since I was 6 , not easy. Takes a long time to master . As long as you want to do it . DO IT! Maybe it sounds bad right now, it wont as long as you believe in yourself and keep trying. Playing cello or any other instrument is just like expressing yourself . Played a lot of hard stuff myself I'm not a pro but I can tell you that without practice nothing will happen. When I was 15 i was playing 13 hours a day . Only then hard work paid off ,became good at it. Its not about the hours you play, a good musician doesnt have to play 15 hours a day as long as ANYONE who plays an instrument of some sort uses their head things can be achieved. So my suggestion to all who wants to play well: Practice - Listen what you play - Record what you play - Listen to recording and practice practice practice. Even R.I.P. M.Rostropovich him self had difficulties but at those times there were no computers and social media at that time so grinding cello was his game.
Unique is the word , every single person is unique . But a good musician can make a poor quality instrument sound good :) It is not difficult but with practice everything will come . take your time dont expect to be a pro in a week. Played 13 years not a pro at all I know how to play graduated from a conservatoire . With age an practice . in other words the more you practice and use your head the better you get each time .
i got paid by 2 neighbours and my grandparents to stop playing violin . They said that i definitely have talent.... in making any musical instrument into an object of most brutal torture ever devised.
Amen. I looked up "Gabriel's Oboe - The Mission" which I had heard in a fan video. I came across these 2 gents - and WOW. My fave to this point has been 1) the violin & 2) the piano. But, the passion, expression, emotions, range, intensity that these 2 gents have for their art and their instruments surpasses anything I have ever seen in any other artist. These two gents are the Masters of my generation. With my RU-vid Red script, I have them on a loop, playing the Celloverse Videos. Very Relaxing. There is absolutely no need for words.
Moon river, wider than a mile I'm crossing you in style someday Oh, dream maker You heartbreaker Where ever you're going I'm going your way Two drifters off to see the world There's such a lot of world to see We're after the same rainbow's end Waiting round the bend My huckleberry friend Moon river and me
This is beautiful, I love the diversity of styles you obtain on the one instrument, from this soulful melody to the pounding rhythm of ACDC and Nirvana. Also, God Damn you two look great in waistcoats.
This was my late grandmother's favorite song. It's soooo amazing how I saw this on my feed today, on her first death anniversarry. Its so bittersweet to listen to this. Thank you sooo much for such a soulful rendition.
jody024 I get what you are saying.I usually notice the immaculate and profound music first .This time the video is too distracting..You don't usually see these two trying look all sophisticated and sexy without the Cellos.Hence the order in which I described everything 😅
I've been ignoring the video ever since xD I also hope they will play this without a orchestra, Moonriver is such a petite song and this rendition doesn't need the orchestra to make it "big"
there music has a certain aura. the locations picked further manage to add a special serenity to the beauty of their music. amazing how these guys always pull it off without even fluctuating for a second
Keeping Audrey Hepburn Alive. I feel like after reading through the comments nobody noticed the Ballerina that was the best representation Of her days a ballerina. Sadly she was never accepted into the great school. However would open up her career to her becoming the Princess Sabrina and most famous icon of all time for women. She's passed on. Even in the new generations. R.I.P Audrey.
I did not know that either! Now it makes sense why the ballerina besides her being a beautiful addition to the video. Thank you so very much!! I have always LOVED the song Moon River and they perform it more beautifully than I have ever heard...and I'm getting up there in age! ❤
Музыка и прекрасное исполнение завораживают. Закрываешь глаза и кажется, что растворяешься а волшебных звуках виолончели. Браво Степан, Браво Лука!!! Вы настоящие Мастера!!! ❣❣❣
Moon River is a favorite melody of mine, I've loved it ever since I heard the original version in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." I've enjoyed several cover versions of "Moon River" over the years, but I must say... this is the most beautiful rendition of the Henry Mancini/Johnny Mercer classic. Thank you Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser aka 2Cellos for your magnificent performance.

That was our wedding music, 3 years ago today! We really like this beautiful piece of music. There is a little bit of melancholy but not too much. This is melodious, there is hope and serenity in there. And this interpretation is grandiose!
This song is so very precious to me. I can't hear it without shedding some tears. Pure instrumental arrangements of this song stir a very nostalgic memory in me and for this to be released today is timing beyond perfect. Thank you.
Pls do read.....👇👇👇👇😞 This song reminds me of my favourite music teacher at school, Mrs. Maureen Siemon. She was a past pupil of my school and was the music teacher at our school for more than 50 years....she used to teach this song and tell us how much she loved it as a young lady..... Then she retired as she was too old and weak. She met with an accident one day and lost her memory... She couldn't even remember the name of our school... She couldn't recall how she played the piano, how she used to be an outstanding music teacher and a role model for nearly 55 years.... This version of the song immediately brought me tears....I pictured how we learned to fall in love with music under the guidance of Mrs. Siemon.... Hats off to the 2CELLOS.. LOVE from Sri Lanka♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

If you like Moon River, check out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SKIFrPn0m4c.html different from this beautiful rendition, but still very nice.
Some people think playing something that is classic, simple and "basic" is either beneath the musicians or perhaps themselves. They cannot appreciate the beauty of the song or the expression of a perfectly played note. They desperately look for the next thrill. Sad really.........
Does it really matter how basic or difficult the song is though. All that really matters is how it is played and if it sounds good or not. In my personal opinion, this song sounds pretty amazing.
The smooth and romantic melody of Moon River was my parent's most cherished piece of music in all the world. It was the theme of a lifetime of vacations that spanned the globe. From all over Europe, the beaches of the Caribbean, to the wilds of southern Africa, climbing Machu Picchu, taking the train across beautiful New Zealand and an RV across the vast Australian outback, to a voyage up the Amazon River, all accompanied (with my Dad's singing) to this terrific Mancini score. These adventures were pure magic, a dream come true for a couple from far their humble beginnings of an impoverished city life of 1930's middle America in Detroit Michigan. Through the 1960's, our family had only taken two week long driving vacations camping across most of the United States. Just imagine the thrill of seeing all those amazing places. We should all be so bold as to stretch our little lives further to experience the wonder of the vast world around us, to interact with the people in these lands and learn to appreciate the prospective of other cultures. Only by visiting communities beyond the tourist routes, and taking the time to live among the people, we can better appreciate how great our own nation is having experienced the contrast in person. When it comes to the USA, there is no place like home. "Two drifters off to see the world, there's such a lot of world to see..."
