I didn't understand this very starting point. Initial coordinates of point = (x,y) Final coordinates of point = (x', y') Displacement = t Now t = sqrt[(x'-x)^2 + (y'-y)^2] Let translation in x direction = X = x'-x Let translation in y direction = Y = y'-y Therefore t = sqrt(X^2 + Y^2) Here is only 1 equation but 2 unknowns. Now how you get translation in x direction = tx and translation in y direction = ty ?? Apart from this I understand everything Thanks a lot

I am confused with the SCALING that how changing the coordinates of the circle will change the size of the circle. circle(x-axis=100,y-axis=100,radius=50) and we have sx=2,sy=2 so it will give us circle(100*2,100*2,50). only the coordinates changed not the size.
Mam. can U please elaborate your point. I mean how by changing the coordinates of the circle will increase the size of the circle. then in translation also the size should get change because we are changing the coordinates?
