Ofc you could cite anomalies within the scene but at large meritocracy does not exist. I mean even if his mom restrained from giving him advice, or somehow forbode him from music (not giving him the training/time for that training, the equipment etcetc.) By nature of both being bourgeoisie and the kid of his exec mom anyone who works with him is aware of who he is and wants to boost his signal because of who he is, but also he has the benefit of having enough leisure time (not having to fend for himself/work hard) to even pursue the idea of being a musician. Putting in the legwork isn't the issue here, because ofc he does that to an extent lol. This has and always will be the industry under capitalism, from the boomers with the sex pistols to 2017 bedroom pop/whiteboi soul summer with Clairo to now it's always how it's been.

This is relevant because he has direct access to easily show how much he received in streaming revenue from these songs, but avoided sending the information multiple times and kept making bad faith statements based on estimates, even when telling him directly what he needs to do.
