Just picked up my JZS161 Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex Edition from MV Automatics in Adelaide, Australia. Filmed on a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G phone, I go through the gears to show actual driving in-car!
I’m in Adelaide and am about to get my aristo, really surprised it’s not more expensive to get the shift kit done! Definitely adding to my list of stuff to do
completely different worlds! Aristo is just so comfortable and easy to live with, where the GTR is like.. "what's going to wear out and cost me $1000 this week..? 😂
honestly, it's a really odd feeling to have push buttons on a steering wheel, rather than paddle shifters behind the wheel. but the only reason why I used the stick to shift was probably from habit after the past 4 cars I've owned recently (R33 GTR DC5 Integra Type R, EG Civic and Evo 8) have all been manual and im just used to the feeling.
Not quite I have a 2000 GS300 in America so it is the US version you're right about the transmission because ours came with a 650 automatic 5 speeds but they only came with the non turbo 2JZ and because it's a vvti model it's also the one with the weakest internals. However my car has been swapped with the real GTE twin turbo and the twin turbo a340
